Music is different now with nonsense lyrics. Music before was way better because the lyrics of the songs are meaningful and melodies were way catchier.

Avril is a beautiful acoustic performer here. Her voice is just so sweet and truthful, with so much emotion. I haven't listened to her music for a while, and I forgot how beautiful it was.
I love how she can ACTUALLY SING. Not all this auto-tune crap that we hear today. Well, yeah, theirs sounds cool and all, but its not real genuine talent. That's what I love about Avril, is that she has a sincerely good voice. Keep it up Avril! I hope more artists like her step up.
Amazing voice. This is one of her best songs, and i absolutely loved her first two albums. I wore them out on my walkman when i was little girl, she got me through my teen angst years. I still listen to her to this day, and will never stop. Avril has a true talent and voice, and her music speaks to you. I was sad to hear her new stuff, it doesn't live up to her first albums. avril is one of the only singers that i can relate her songs to everything bad thats happened in my life, slipped away, when my grandad died, everybody hurts someday, when my brother tried commiting suicide, etc. at least one of her songs help me gets through any bad situation in my life and theres not alot of singers who do that so thankyou Avril!
I highly respect Avril Lavigne. Most people don't realize how talented she really is... So many pop stars nowadays have no musical talent whatsoever. Avril doesn't lip sync or use fancy recording equipment to make her voice better. What you hear is what you get with avril and you would be hard pressed to find someone who does the same.
I doubt Johnny from Go Go Dolls could ever hit the notes in "I'm With You" while performing it in the original key as Avril did at Wango Tango 2013 while keeping a pleasant tone and timbrle.

Admittedly, Under My Skin is her best era in terms of vocals. Just watch all her Nobody's Home or My Happy Ending during this era. She delivered such emotional and powerful performance there. After this era, I got the feeling that she just lost her passion in music :( I am no music experts but it is apparent that her vocal performances sound lazy and shrilling these days. She lost her musicality and emotion when singing. I am looking forward to seeing her delivering powerful and remarkable perfomances again. But it seems unlikely...
I have loved her since I was 7 year, (I'm 16 now). So I've been listened to her for a pretty long time I've never seen her, it's one of my biggest dream. I think she grows more and more as a artist. And I agree with AvrilRamonaRocks, there is no old or new Avril. Avril has always been Avril. Like you have always been you. xD We all begins to change when we start to get older. That's a given.

I heard her for the first time May 2001....those acoustic AOL sessions....unbelievable. Had her first album the day before it was officially released thanks to my local mom-n-pop record store. Realized then what record company marketing and the "needed image" can do to someone's art. I will always love her completely stripped down in the very beginning with my make-up, whispy hair, t-shirt/jeans, and still a 'lil insecurity. Will always lover her!
