I miss Daevid & Gylli so much ...truth be known they had to be two of my favourite human beings ever l My very lasting image of Daevid will be the afternoon after I'd seen the.m the night before at Concorde in Vrighton East Sussex ...I went for a coffee in the gay village & saw this amazing guy with long white hair ,pure white suite with flared trousers & a white homberg hat ...then got a proper look & it was Daevid Allen just going for a walk talking to the mad hippies ,the street drinkers of Brighton & drinking in the madness before getting back on tbe Gong tour bus to London. It was also one of the last gigs that Gilly performed at and she had to be on a high kitchen type stool.she was by then elderly & frail..Some people just make the world a better place with their positivity & Gong j/ Steve Hillage just do that in my eyes .

Legendary, Both Daevid Allen and Steve Hillage were true Visionaries and such Lovely people, I'll never forget the last time I went to Glastonbury festival in 2000, I went with my now ex partner because David Bowie was headlining on the Sunday and after he had finished and we were walking back, we passed by the marquee where Gong were playing, It sounded absolutely mental, and I felt a deep regret at not being in there! and by that time, even if I'd wanted to, there was no way anybody was getting in that tent!!! AWESOME 💖🍄🙏💎⭐

This is in alphabetical order, not the order they actually played the songs in. Was scratching my head for a minute when they clearly played Oily Way well before they played Master Builder, but then I saw how you had it organized. You got me!
I'd say Gong have given their old competition Hawkwind a dam good run for their money (their energy and spirit diminished post Lemmy and Turner). Especially since mid 90's when Daevid focused on Planet Gong again and a newer wave came through. Sometimes too tamed, but almost always delivering. And, apart from Gong and The 13th Floor Elevators, not many bands could handle two lead guitarists soloing same time with no ego shYte getting in the way. And be brave enough to make what's only possible in dreams, happen for real, outside of the ''what-teacher-taught'' rules that overly apply to rock in general (DON'T get me started on prog rock), hiding behind everone else. Not so Gong, Hillage, and Allen et al. And don't forget who had that farm Daevid... E. I. E. I. O.!
Goodbye Daevid , have a fruitful journey & good destination in some higher realm , the real planet Gong ?
😪💔🙏

oh oui, ils me manquent tellement ! mais merci à eux d'avoir été la et merci à ceux qui sont encore la !
Va achète la big collection. Plusieurs discuss en vif.
Steve Hillage is an incredible musician!
Yes. But he, of course, obviously, is not on this album. But independent from anything to do with this album, he is incredible.
No hay ni habrá una música así...ni un vocalista como éste...thats all, folks!!!!!

No competition IMO. The Gong musicianship / songwriting is by far superior, a different beast entirely.
Wow
7884000 hours ago. awsome!
Have to sympathise with Gilli Smyth though, a lot of waiting around!
Love it . . . What is the title of the first song ?
