LYRICS:
Mister did you come
In search of water
I'll bet you're thirsty
Wrong or right
How'd you like
To be my partner
Mister will you ride
With me tonight
There's a house
Upon the hillside
The people there
Ain't no damn good
They've got gold
And they've got silver
I'd like to have it
If I could
Chorus:
Feel that wind
Feel it blow
There's worse than stealin'
When a man
Is tired and cold
You know my life
Has been a nightmare
I won't bore you
With the news
But I can sum you up
By lookin'
I ain't no hungrier
Than you
Hey friend, sorry
That you're dyin'
I didn't know
He had a gun
Such a shame
To leave you lyin'
But you know I've
Got to run
You know the law
Has got a long arm
I've been around
I know it well
But if they're ever
Gonna catch me
They'll have to chase me
Into hell
Feel that wind
Feel it blow
There's worse than dyin'
When a man
Is tired and cold

Another nostalgic listener here. The Brandos are great. The lyrics are interesting. I could imagine a Western film. But then I also got vibes of a financial coaching conversation: You know, I don’t care about you, I want all that gold and silver for myself. Oh, you lost everything? It was nice to meet you, but I have to go now.
I think you were right, he doesn’t feel guilty at all. And the line: "I ain't no hungrier than you" couldn’t it also mean: I’m not hungry at all?
You like the film Magnificent Seven? What do you think about the 2016’s remake? I personnally prefer Kurosawa’s Samurai over Cowboys :) Please do a 3 hour video about this. :)
If anyone is interested, here is our previous reaction to this wonderful, albeit somewhat forgotten, band: th-cam.com/video/05P_3MRThoE/w-d-xo.html
Enjoy!
Thank you guys for taking another one of my supremely unpopular requests 😅 It was fun listening to you dissect the lyrics, and I guess your viewpoint as film makers really gives you a unique angle. I admit I never thought about a kind of sinister intent behind the story, but it does absolutely make sense, hearing you talk about it. The line "Hey friend, sorry that you're dying..." always had me thinking "yeah, right, sure you are", but I never thought of intentionally inviting the other guy as a bullet catcher.
I agree, it's a shame that this fantastic band is not more widly known. They have so many fantastic songs and are so versatile. I will gladly send more of their stuff your way and I too hope that it will help get their music known to more people.
I'm glad the video finally decided to cooperate 😉 Thank you for not giving up on it, and for another great reaction 😁
Well, at least your requests are helping us answer the question: "are the viewers coming to see/hear us or just the bands/artists?" I guess we have a long way to go... 😂
But yes, these videos stays up there (potentially) forever, so hopefully they will pick up more views and people will become more aware of this fantastic band. We love your requests, this type of music is definitely good for the soul. We hope more people will enjoy it... eventually. 😉
As always, thank you for the request and the constant support. We truly appreciate YOU! 🙏♥
@@myindieprodentertainment Well, I have more Brandos songs I would like to hear your reaction to, but I really feel bad about sending this obscure stuff your way 😅 If I ever send you anything you don't like, just tell me.
It makes me a bit sad that Brandos never had the success they deserved, but I guess you're right, people mostly go for what they already know. Shame, I think it's always an opportunity to discover new things if you also watch if you don't know the band.
I'm in Greece right now, but when I'm back I would like to send you something that - let's be honest - probably won't fare much better than this one 😂 I'm like that, I always love the slightly odd stuff.
@@miceandmen Yes, please. Keep going. Send them "slightly odd stuff". I will be here, too. I promise. :). Btw. it is a good name for my taste in music: "Slightly odd stuff".
And: The Brandos are a great band.
@@andreadee1567 Hey, so nice to find a fellow odd stuff and Brandos afficionado 😁 I still have some odd stuff up my sleeve I want to send them, but I can't help feeling a bit bad because those videos are not exactly popular, to say the least 😅 But hearing that some people do like them is really good.
Did you already know The Brandos before? It's so sad so few people found that great band.
@@miceandmen Yes, I listened to them in the early 2000 from time to time. My boyfriend listened to Heavy Metal and Death Metal. I liked it but sometimes it was too much. Then I asked him if he had something with a melodie. And one of the groups "with melodie" he played for me were The Brandos.
