The project looks good but I think you could make a couple improvements to it that would make it really durable. I would start by enclosing the turbine and wiring give them a dry place to operate. Also the bearings that you welded to the frame could become an issue if you ever have to replace the bearings. I don't think you could replace the bearings without cutting them out of the frame. The project is still an excellent demonstration of what is possible!

Cool! But I had an idea that the screws would be better made of metal. Being heavier, they will act as flywheels, which will give a smoother rotation when the water flow in the canal changes. And it will give more inertia to the whole system. Or you can fill the auger axles with inert material, sand or gravel. That will also increase inertia.

Hello, great work another like, you are blessed with that amount of water, but the watt meter measures 40 Volts, it increased twice the voltage with respect to the single Archimedes turbine, but it gives 0 Watts (0 Amps) the single Archimedes turbine gave 0.3 Amps. Am I missing something here? Did you connect the load? 9:37 How many watts does this configuration produce? Thanks in advance for your answer.
I have some questions. First, what is the distance between each part of the archimedes screw. Second, what is the material that is used in making the turbine. Third, what was the velocity of the water to make the turbine rotate like that. Fourth, what is the number of rotations on that scale of one screw
There is a video where I have a tutorial on how to make a screw, the rest of the questions I don't measure directly, so I can't answer you. For this motor, the rpm is about 400 and the power is already out as shown in the video
I have no better words to say this: In a worm drive, when torque is applied to the worm, which is essentially a screw, the worm wheel rotates, but the torque applied to the worm wheel does not rotate the worm. Ironically, the Archimedean screw can rotate in both directions due to the flow of water. Interesting...

Given a size of generator used i would be suprised if it can do more than 5amps 12v under load. Which is not much but for 1 h3 lightbulb that is 55W at 12v it should do the job and it's lot of light. So if you think boiling water or curling wood it's no no but some simple. Ligting especially with led's. Should be perfect.
