- How we are preparing our home for baby # 6: Home Office Edition 🏠 💻
So a big question I get asked is, “How big is your house?” And “How do all of you guys fit in there?”
So welcome to my new series where I show you all the ways we decorate, rearrange, and organize our very average sized home to accommodate all of us! ❤️
Today we are focusing on our home office nook. With baby girl coming in about two weeks we need to use ALL the bedrooms as bedrooms. So goodbye office room hello office nook…which is in our bedroom 🙃
If I am being honest, I am not of fan of to do one form of business and the OTHER form of business all in the same room if you catch my drift 😜 But I am also grateful our room is big enough to accommodate our little work space!
We are actually in the process of building an outdoor office shed but that’s going to take some time, so in the mean time this will work!
I am pretty happy with how it turned out though! It’s stylish yet functional and organized!
Do you have a home office? If so do you have a designated room or nook for it?

We used to. Then our son was born, lol. Now my office is in the living room.
Please link everything!
We made a wall in a big room wjen we moved in and now have a veeeery small office. No way that could be used as a sleeping room 😅 but our child has a nice room though :D
We used to have a separate Office room, but now there's the diaper changing station for our baby girl (7months) 😅 when she's older, it will be her bedroom. But we dont't need the office because I'm not working anymore and my husband can't work from home
Where can I see the desk and gold sheet under the plexiglass thing on the desk, where you got it.
I love this! No one ever shares how spacing changes when you have more kids. No one has tips on kids sharing rooms or moving your office into your bedroom or kitchen. Finally some great content ❤
We have a bunk + crib in our girls room (3 girls) and a regular bunk in ours boys room (2 boys). 7 people in 800 sf. I am so familiar with the shuffle!!! Where clothes are stored, how we are using the closets, etc. its always always a moving target ❤️ Congrats on baby #6! What a blessing!
Oh my, how do you do it. I have 4 people in 900 sq ft and I decided to buy a bigger house because I am someone who lived alone for 40 years then had kids so I need my space and me time as I am an extreme introvert and need to recharge after my days as a mental health therapist who works from home. 😊
girl that pink dress on you is everything!
We rent a 2 bedroom condo. The second bedroom was a guest room/office/video game space for my husband and the living room was my office space. Now that our baby is here it’s her room and the living room is now my husbands workspace for the days he works from home. His coworkers are just used to hearing baby giggles and squeals sometimes in the background of his calls. But man do we miss having an office/spare room 😂😂
Whoo! Carrying a big baby like that and all the work you're doing, wow! You're incredible 😊
Well done! We have one small bedroom for our baby and any possible future children. At some point there may be several bunk beds or Murphy beds 😅 It’s amazing how you can make things work when you have to!
Great job! I’d add a room divider just to separate the spaces. Not sure if that’s a possibility with your set up.
Seriously, 2 more weeks 😂❤
I feel like I'm waiting 😊
I'm quite excited. I have no idea why as I just started watching you.
Having raised 2 and now loving the grandkids, I am amazed at you both.
You are a great team, and I wish I had that level of organization. My kids would've benefitted greatly. Thanks for sharing. You've likely helped a lot of parents. God bless all of you. 💕
Love your new office! You have great taste!
It looks great!
I have a three bedroom house and three kids, there's a huge age gap between my kids so the baby can't share with the older kids because there rooms are hazardous 😅 so the baby is in our room for now 🙃 glad to know I am not the only person trying to rearrange and optimize space
Those Benevolence candles are the best!
It looks great! Love that chair.
When I caught that wink on the second play through! OH! 🤣🤦♀️ Didn't catch the joke the first time. Congratulations again to your lovely family!🎉❤
GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING!! 😊
Looks great!
Could you share everything you bought to make this happen? It looks great!
I love all the things 🙌👍🏻❤️💞
Beautiful!
Chrissy, I can't fricking imagine taking in that kind of project at 40 weeks pregnant
You go girl. 😂🎉❤
The stick on drawers!!!
So pretty
It looks really beautiful... Where did you get the stick on drawers and that desk???
Will you move houses with baby #7?
They live in San Diego CA. With mortgage rates, housing prices, and low quality houses for high prices, I doubt they’ll be moving anytime soon. Once you have a good house in a safe area with a low mortgage rate, you don’t leave your home in California. Unless you suddenly move like 3 tax brackets up.
Lol congratulations on this! Has anyone ever told you your husband looks like Kirk Cousins lol
We also built an office shed to make room for a baby! Its been nice!
A divider wall would help separate the space and energy of the 2 spaces
Hi Chrissy it looks really pretty 😍. Wishing you a safe labor and delivery . Are you nervous at all ? I had 5 and I was more nervous with my last one because I knew exactly what to expect. I didn’t do epidural so I felt everything ! Don’t do what I did .
Omg I love that chair can you add a link or name x
I spot a hobby lobby picture lol
Would you be willing if you see this comment to link the gold and glass cube bookcase ? Good luck but you don’t need it ..i had 5 in 7 years so I relate a lot to you but I’m old now lol😂
My three kids will share a room once our newest one is out of the bassinet in our bedroom. I’m wondering how we’re going to make it happen cause they’re all under 3 years of age and can’t be in bunk beds yet.
Where'd you get the chair?
Where did you purchase all the desk organizing things at including the little drawers? If it’s ok to ask? Thank you!
Thank you!! I would love to know if each delivery has gotten easier with each pregnancy? Or no not a thing?
I know you said they don't just fall out lol but does it feel a bit easier or totally not
How you feeling?
Do u have the link for the magazine holders?
We have two home office desk in the living room, as it was the only available place😅 Luckily my husband doesn't have too many calls
I lost my amazing home office for baby #2. I'm not mad about it.
But we have 4 people (2 littles, 2 adults) in 900 sq ft and I work from home. My "nook" is now about 3 feet wide and it is so not working. So we bought a different home. Good thing I own the first outright and can do something with it (rent, airbnb, whichever I decide at that time). Love this tho.
Literally me, taking a break from rearranging our kids rooms because the boy refuse to share a room right now 😅
Where’d you get the stick on drawers?
Beautiful family as your goldy family. I see Jesus of nazareth is blessing you
Won't baby sleep next to bed for a few months.
Won’t you have the baby in your bedroom with you in a bassinet for a few months though? You shouldn’t have to move the office yet.
Also, can you show an after pic of the bedroom with the office?
Not all parents and babies thrive with this arrangement. I'm not knocking it as wrong. It's not a moral issue. But I can't sleep if baby is with me. I mean, I can't sleep AT ALL. I've put the baby's bassinet literally everywhere. The bathroom. The closet. The living room. Anywhere except in the room with me. This is baby #4 for me and we just know now that baby in the room with me isn't going to work. I have the ears of a bat. Them breathing is enough to wake me.
Yes bassinet is still in our room 🤗 it’s by my bed! This desk set up is in an awkward space so doesn’t take up where the bassinet is! ❤
How do your stick on drawers not unstick? Whenever i use anything stick on, it falls off within a day. Teach me please 😢
Where are the drawers from ?
Must have links 😭
Will this be your last baby.
You and me have been pregnant at the same time since 2022 😅
is the shed/office done?
No, but SO close!! Wahoo!
you guys seem very mature and capable of raising a large bunch of kids, enough resources and attention and the perfect lifestyle to offer, homeschooling really allows you more 1 on 1 time with the children, I have a lot of siblings and cousins and I have seen what it looks like when people dont have these same resources/circumstances, and they really should have had less kids over all because of that lack of 1 on 1 time and life education really negatively afffected them and now their kids arent prepared the way they should be. I hope you guys do plan on eventually purposefully stopping once you have all your family here earthside, no one can or should make that decision for you but I hope you both will at least make that decision and not "leave it up to god". I think everything is ultimately up to god, and I think he wants everyone to prioritize the souls of those already on this earth ❤️
What’s your work madam?
Isn't the baby going to be sleeping in the room with you for at least a few 3 to 5 months so couldn't you just made the baby's room in your bedroom for now 🤷🏼🤦🏼♀️
It is in our bedroom. We also have a one year old who is still in the crib hence why we moved the crib to another room. Newborn is in a bassinet. I posted a recent video showing the room arrangements
Do you live in Utah and are you Mormon?
Can you show how to add the drawers. It was very fast
I've never known anybody with a home office Lol it's just a lap top on the kitchen counter
What’s up with all this beige, neutral tones everywhere these days. Even people’s clothing it’s so incredibly boring and no visual appeal IMO
For me it keeps things lighter/brighter, which I like, and then I can always add decor that has some color and appeal. I think many of us grew up with all the dark wood colored things, wall paper and every room a different color: and now as an adult I prefer the neutrals because it’s easier to change out decor as my tastes change or as seasons change. It’s not for everyone but that’s my take. Lol
What is wrong with someone moaning about random stuff that doesn't affect your life.
