yes, awkward detail. Michigan would have foreign car smashing fundraisers, EPA regulations.. And a bit of dislike of hotel pools at 7 am trying to rest after checking in at 5.
Gosh, I watched this frequently circa 1982 when it was on cable mainly because of the all-star cast and the road trip, but it really could have been much better. Hal Needham did an epic job directing Smokey and the Bandit, but this was uneven. Still, great to rewatch the Subaru / Jackie Chan scenes again.
@@adhd_with_pennies4867 I never fun thing is the gauge cluster plastic can be removed and you have a clear cluster and these days you can get a LED strip that's thin enough to fit in there easily just make sure to obey local traffic laws regarding lighting

Ahhh Yeah! Maryland Chambers RIP. When I saw this as a kid, I knew exactly what I wanted to do to my 1983 Honda Accord Hatchback. I installed a Montgomery Ward 5" Tube TV also made by Radio Shack, & cut out a huge hole & installed it in my dash & it ran on 8-10 DD batteries or cig lighter & I also had the old split Portable Panasonic VHS VCR/Camcorder! We watched Porn just like Jackie Chan!!!!!
"Smokey, Sayonara, bai-bai!"
I miss films like this. Watching those guys was like a movie within a movie. Bah getting old sucks
I think all electric cars should sound like this GL. How funny would it be if a musk mobile ran a 9 second 1/4 mile sounding like this?
U KNOW ITS A OLD MOVIE WHEN THEY PLAY THAT LITTLE TUNE WHEN THEY ENTER THE JAPANESE CAR

LMAO, and none other than a young Jackie Chan as the driver. Classic.

Subaru rocket car... Awesome!
I bought this movie just because of the subaru that is in it.
These guys should show up in THE FAST AND THE FURIOIS.
Yeah, would love to see Jackie Chan show up in one of those fast and the furious movies reprising his role as race car driver
subaru should remake a small 2 door hatch like this i'd be inline to buy it!
With a rocket booster in the back.
yeah, i know, to avoid any deletion, i didn't mention it so it could be get marked
AWESOME !!!
I so want to take my Subaru and e-convert. Of course using this as a reference.
