great video Noticing that "old" worn out english wheel in the corner.. would be great to have a viewer giveaway on that old unused thing......so you could get a new one........
LoL, not in a situation yet to giveaway any tools yet! Need my English wheel for the work I need to do on the 5 window. Need to generate some more income. Hopefully I can get one of the big English wheels then I can think about what to do with this one.
Great techniques. Thanks for sharing. A question on your dash, how or what did you use to sand it down? Did you start with a 36 grit or did you sand blast the dash? Then, after finishing your metal work, what was the product you used? You mention a fiberglass body filler. Rick
Rick, I sand blasted the dash first. Then used PPG epoxy primer. I let that sit for about 3 days to make sure it fully cured. Then I scuffed the primer with 50 grit and applied a skim coat of short strand fiberglass filler over any area that was welded. Last top coat is EverCoat Gold Ultra body fill which I will sand to 320. If all looks good then a coat of sealer and 2 coats of the same single stage metallic blue.
