Mcu collector: these cap heads are two different blues. No way im doing head swaps. Also mcu collector: whats this green fist look like on this white girl? 😂
Too bad they devoted money to creating the shields in this line...they were uninteresting 40 years ago, and they are pretty much the same. I would have much rather seen an alternate head sculpt, but hey, nostalgia sells, I guess. Thanks for the review.. I'll probably pick her up.
As a longtime She-Hulk fan, I'm very excited for Titania. She looks great, though some kind of accessory would be nice. Maybe like some rebar, or the Power Gem. It is weird that there's no re-use. Re-use is expected, so its funny that Power Princess, She-Hulk, and now Titania are all unique bigger female sculpts. They have to start re-using them at some point, right?
And don't forget about BW and Warbird. Even on the same scale, they're pretty much different. I think that's something we could appreciate from Hasbro.
@scottroxford5715 By that logic, Jada Toys will go bankrupt any day then. ToyBiz was doing the Lord's work but undercharging, too. Hasbro is charging us 25 and up to 60 for some characters. That gets insane really quick.
They painted the violet over a skin tone insert? Awesome, that makes it easier to modify. Instead of matching paint you can just take the paint off with alcohol, finger nail polish remover, or paint thinner. Then you can have the classic look.
Look at some of the height comparisons. Most of her height is in her thighs. The lower boots and possibly the arms which have the spikes could potentially be used for Rachel Grey. If not, at least the part of the mold has been cast for spiked characters.
Yes. Remove the purple cleavage paint with acetone and it's molded skin color. It actually looks good once you do. However, that portion on the lower torso right above the gold belt is not skin tone underneath. You'll have to repaint that and try to color match.
Ive been waiting for that fig FOR AGES!!! Titania is one of my fav Marvel supervillain, now I really want an updated wrecking crew. The hands do look a bit small, but imo Shulkie's hands are also too big.. nothing too major imo, just like the cleavage, I understand the choice, I don't mind it, the lavender looks really good with the rest of the suit but I might try to repaint it so it's more accurate lol.
Super excited to finally have a Titania in my She-Hulk corner of the collection (We need an Awesome Andy BAF)! Fingers crossed we get an MCU version of the character further on down the road!
Finally a good size comparison, and boy is she short she should only be slightly shorter than she hulk not a whole head shorter. And I only wanted titania and wolverine but might pick up the beyonder.
She looks great, I look forward to her & Wolverine I ordered. As far as the fists, the She Hulk seem waaay too big. When it comes to the covered up skin, the figures should be made as they’re drawn in the comics. With a character like Titania, it’s not as important. But covering up Emma Frost or Black Cat is dumb and child-like
I was always disappointed that Mattel never gave us any female Secret Wars figures (and even put in characters unrelated to Secret Wars such as Constrictor), but in those days the technology didn't seem able to produce attractive females in the 3.75" scale. This looks great, censored or not, and I've been a fan of Titania for decades now. So happy for her that she's got a figure, and it's a good one. I'm also really happy about the thigh swivel - it looks okay on certain figures, but on figures with bare legs they're just ugly. I'll definitely be looking out for her, and hoping that Volcana will appear soon in lava mode.
Doc Doom didn't have the Beyonder's power when he gave Titania and Volcana their powers. He used his alien tech and his genius on Battleworld. I seem to remember the weird shields being shoe horned unto part of the story. Quite a hood looking figure of I character I'd like on the shelf. A shame she seems so small next to She Hulk. In Secret Wars I think they were about the same build. If it had soft flexible hair and articulation like Jada's Street Fighter figs I'd be over the moon.
You are right about Doom, but Titania wasn't that tall, she was about as tall as Doom or Absorbing Man, She Hulk towers above all of them, at least in that miniseries.
Why si Hasbro so scared about women showing clevage??? They don't hace that problem with the male figures because they just released a Kazar who is basically naked lol or the Shang Chi or the 5 pack Wolverine who are naked from the chest
Cause obviously men are different. Showing our chest is a masculine thing and to be expected with Men. Women showing theirs is not feminine And It CAN be seen as objectifying women...and thats a no no in today's world. Especially when you're in the business of selling toys to children. Don't ask me why they won't show women cleavage, but Will promote LGBT activities to kids....it's confusing to me too.
Yeah i don't think the argument for censoring female figures has a lot of merit. Like on one hand folks may say that they are okay that Titania was censored because they don't need their female figures oversexualized. But i don't see these people complaining that the Marvel Legends Kazar, Namor or Hercules figures (to name a few)are overly sexualized. And those figues are just about naked/almost completely flesh toned. If male characters can be kept accurate to the source material regardless of how skimpy their outfits are, then that standard should apply to female figues. Wanting something accurate and even appreciating the female form along with the male superhero proportions doesn't make a person weird or creepy.
The censoring of there female figures does bother me. A male figure can be in nothing but a loin cloth but a female figure can't show a little skin? Even though it's accurate? Makes no sense. It's like someone at hasbro has some hangups about women. 😂
I think that this particular line is intended to be a line on pegs, figured in their decision. The fact that they sculpted the costume properly, indicates to me that they probably also debated whether that is skin color or not. For those who want to be accurate, it makes it much easier to pain the skin tone, provided one can find a suitable enough color. I know there is a double standard with male skin than female skin of course, but that is standard in all lines of entertainment.
Agreed. I don’t understand why you make comic book figures if you don’t want to make them comic accurate. I don’t understand where they draw the line with cleavage either, since Lilith from earlier this year had almost the same exact costume cut, Bloodstorm and Destiny had some visible cleavage, etc. Although Titania is a bit more extreme, since it’s really out there. It’s the same as Shanna vs Tigra. We’ve gotten two versions of Tigra, but will we ever see Shanna? You never know.
Yeah, makes me glad some of the older female figs came out when they did like Amazing Spider-Man 2 wave Black Cat & comic Black Widow from the Winter Solder 2 pack. They’re a bit dated, but I still like them. Same for even older stuff outside of Marvel like DCUC Powergirl. I still have that figure because I don’t see McFarland making her in her white costume anytime soon.
Ka-zar's figure was practically naked, like a Tazan.....but when it is a female figure...now you hav a problem, now they are "sexualizing" it, broo....😂😂😂
I just despize the double standard.. Again: Kaazar is basically naked but no problem.. She has on a costume but heaven forbid too much female skin and it's a assault on decency.. Why not just give her a burka..? 🤔
It helps if you understand the difference between a power fantasy and a sexual fantasy. True they are both scantily clad but for very different reasons. Kaazar being basically naked wasn’t done to titillate young men. He was meant to be aspirational. The same way men look up to body builders and gym bros. Muscled mostly naked men is a classic male power fantasy. See Conan The Barbarian. Titania on the other hand only had a T shaped boob window to appeal to male viewers sexually. No woman was picking up the comic and thinking I aspire to be like this. So there is a double standard but that standard initiated with the comics.

Same. But yeah it's for nostalgia
Titania is perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
Definitely going to repaint. But I need to get her first.
And a slight resculpt.

@@suhtangwong Not where the cleavage is.
The whole neck piece is separate from the purple mold of her clothes.
You will have to paint match that small portion of purple in the gold belt part. That's not skin tone underneath.
Arms are an easy reuse for Rachel Grey Phoenix to complete our original Excalibur team.
So glad Titania finally has a figure!
Not exactly, this figure is huge compared to female figs.
Look at some of the height comparisons. Most of her height is in her thighs. The lower boots and possibly the arms which have the spikes could potentially be used for Rachel Grey. If not, at least the part of the mold has been cast for spiked characters.
Always jealous but very happy for you. They look awesome. Never collected the original but these are so amazing. Great review.
Nice review. Will acetone remove the violet and it will be pink skin underneath?
I’ve never done anything like that to know for sure. The base plastic is probably purple

Absolutely getting Titania! I hope we get a new Absorbing Man to go with her, or perhaps a two pack?
Good to see some Titania love, I thought I would be in hiding for a long time😅✊🏾
The hands are proportionate for the size of the figure.

I mean there's nothing weird about wanting a comic character to look how they look from the source material.

I expected more reuse from the Power Princess buck. Looks like they just used her hands and MAYBE the biceps (with added spikes)
