Danny I just want to thank you for sharing this video. I live in Tennessee. I have made 2 of your antennas and they worked fine. I watched this video a few weeks ago and told myself I need to try this one. I built this antenna yesterday and took it outside and just stood it up without a booster on it to see if it worked. Man did it work! I ended up putting the RCA booster on it but really didn't need it. I'm picking up 58 channels from Nashville Tn. That's picking up stations over 90 miles away. Your right about one thing. This is a powerful picking up son of a gun!!!

Danny, you have my respect for sharing your work so clearly. Thank you! I read elsewhere that the in the bowtie antenna, the length of the V-element legs are independent of the wavelength. Yet, many people have built their antenna with different length. Can you clarify this? And, can you clarify how to pick various parameters, the length, angle and the spacing between elements. A reference to a document to read would be great. Thank you, again!

The booster only amplifies the signal that's present at the antenna. So a double antenna would have (3db in a perfect world) of gain if phased right. Great job on the antenna building Danny!

This is fine and all, but I'm afraid I'm limited to having something indoors; I just don't see a way to get it outside from our basement. The best I can do is put it in the stairwell, I was thinking decorating it somehow to look like a piece of artwork, so I was thinking just the prongy things, not the grid part. We are in an area where there are plenty of stations around nearby, it's just getting an antenna far enough out of the basement to get the signals.

Mr. Hodges, I hate to be the bearer of bad news to you, but that antenna is now, and has been called an H2 or 4 or 8 depending on the number of elements. You did not invent anything. They have been around for decades! I built my first one (an H8) about 15 years ago. truthfully, I wish I hadn't given it away, in lieu of an HD Stacker.
I do like your use of the square/rectangle PVC. I had used the square aluminum parts off an old dilapidated store bought antenna, and parts from my wife's baker's rack for the reflector.
