This was something I never understood. The fire trucks were called more than 2 full minutes after the fire had engulfed three points of the structure, and arrived ten minutes later. But weren’t let through the checkpoint for another like 16 minutes? When it had engulfed the entire thing. Why?

So many things went wrong with this and it all could have been avoided. The way David found out was because a reporter figured out what was going to happen and was on his way there before the siege and got lost, so he flagged down a car and asked where mount Carmel was. The man asked him why he wanted to know and he told him about the siege. That man was one of the Branch Davidians and he went back and told Koresh what was going to happen. When the ATF found out that Koresh knew that they were coming (they had an agent on the inside who informed them) they decided to go through with it anyway even though the element of surprise was gone. Another major mistake with the media was when they were getting some of children out during the negotiations. They used the children to try to convince the parents to come out too and when a woman finally did come out, she was arrested and because the media reported on her arrest, the Branch Davidians found out and people stopped leaving. It was a mess from the beginning and it was all a complete failure

*You should read a Bible bc there's plenty of proof that God and Jesus are the same entity.* Ever hear of "The Holy Trinity"; ie. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit?
God is Father in Heaven; Jesus (aka "The Word") was God on Earth (in human form for 33 years); God is the Holy Spirit in internal spiritual form to Christians.
Hundreds of years before the birth of Christ, prophet Isaiah foretold the coming of God's Son: "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. *And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6).
      - When the angel spoke to Joseph and announced the impending birth of Jesus, he alluded to Isaiah’s prophecy: "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel (‘God with us’)" (Matthew 1:23). _This didn't mean they were to name the baby Immanuel; _*_it meant that "God with us" was the baby’s identity._*_ Jesus was God coming in the flesh to dwell with man._
*- John 10:30 - "I and the Father are One".* We need only to look at the Jews’ reaction to His statement to know He was claiming to be God. They tried to stone Him for this very reason. He was saying that He and the Father are of one nature and essence.
      - John 14:6 - "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
*The most important reason that Jesus has to be God is that, if He is not God, His death would not have been sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2).* A created being, which Jesus would be if He were not God, could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God. Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21), die, and be resurrected, proving His victory over sin and death.
      - *John 1:1, 14 - “The Word [Jesus] was God” and “the Word became flesh.”*
_These verses clearly and explicitly indicate that Jesus is God in the flesh._
      - Acts 20:28 tells us, “Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with His [God's] own blood.” Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ. And this same verse declares that God purchased His church with His own blood in the form of crucifixion of Jesus; God in human flesh. Therefore, Jesus IS God.
      - Thomas the disciple declared concerning Jesus, “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28). Jesus does not correct him.
      - Titus 2:13 encourages us to wait for the coming of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ (see also 2 Peter 1:1).
      - In Hebrews 1:8, the Father declares of Jesus, “But about the Son he says, ‘Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.’”
*Here The Father Himself refers to Jesus as “O God,” indicating that Jesus is indeed God.*
Genesis 1.26 - “Let US (FATHER & SON) make mankind in OUR (FATHER & SON; SON CAME ON EARTH AS A MAN - Isaiah Isaiah 9:6)) image, in OUR (FATHER & SON) likeness, so that THEY [plural = Father & Son together] may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky ..."
John 14:6 - Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth and the life." "No-one comes to the Father except through me."
_Christians venerate Jesus as God in human form only. Jesus took the form of God in the flesh for 33 years only, during his time on earth. He was sent to earth as the Word of God manifested in human flesh._
John 1 (KJV): 1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God."
John 1:14 (KJV): "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
[This says, 'God is the Word, Jesus - as the Word made into flesh - was with God, and that Jesus IS God who lived amongst people. Thus, God and Jesus MUST be the same entity.]
*Here is other scripture that shows Jesus was God:*
      - "And after being baptized, Jesus went up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased."" (Matt. 3:16-17)
      - "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." (Matt. 28:19)
      - Jesus said: "I and the Father are one." (John 10:30)
      - "He who has seen Me has seen the Father." (John 14:9)
      - "He who beholds Me beholds the One who sent Me." (John 12:45)
      - "If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him." (Rom. 8:9)
      - "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for that which has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit." (Matt. 1:20)
      - "And the angel answered and said to her [Mary], "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy offspring shall be called the Son of God."" (Luke 1:35)
      - Jesus speaking to His disciples: "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you, and will be in you." ... "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him." (John 14:16-17, 23 refers to the triune nature of God).

They targeted the children with that gas pumping it in for over 20 minutes straight, into an unventilated concrete room. The children were murdered torturously with that gas which becomes cyanide under some circumstances and those were present here. They died violently. And then their bodies were further demolished by plastic explosives detonation just above that concrete structure; the mushroom cloud of the explosion is blatantly evident in the footage of the fire. The bodies got so hot from that explosion that they amalgated and many were dismembered by the sheer force of impact from the explosion - for instance Koresh’s eldest son inside there, Cyrus age 8, was dismembered and his cause of death is lifted as smoke inhalation and charring but also listed is possible head trauma. Why? His head was never recovered as it was destroyed in the blast, so it couldn’t be ruled out that he didn’t have head trauma killing him. This is all so disgusting behavior of the godawful federal government and so inexcusable and unpardonable, absolutely unforgivable!

The person I was sitting for and I watched with horror as the fire broke out and we watched a few people come out and be immediately arrested. The part that is the worst to me is that Koresh was known by the FBI to make trips into Waco every day either by himself or with one or two other people. They should have arrested him then, rather than attack the compound, which fed into the paranoid belief of the members that they were going to be attacked by the govt. There was no reason for the attack on the compound, except the ATF wanted to show militia groups, which were quite prominant then, that the govt was not going to put up with the illegal gun sales and collection. If they had arrested him away from the compound, the followers would have been lost without him. THAT was the govt's big mistake.

Many areas were lit by the occupants called "points of origin", there is an audio recording of david ordering them to start the fires and lab tests and sniffer dogs were used to identify liquid accelerants that were used.
Also, there WAS a reason to raid the compound. If you nab david externally and the rest of the religious lunatics hear about it, the fear he has been drumming into them is confirmed regardless, then you have an entire building of paranoid, armed lunatics WAITING for the police. The point is to surprise raid and grab david and the illegal weapons they had been PURPOSFULLY stockpiling to attack police should they come. david KNEW they would come eventually once they found out about the kids he was molesting among other things.
He was a maniac, and his brainwashed idiots were not much better.
The gun fight and the ending fire were PRE PLANNED by david and some of his most devoted followers.
Was it handled perfectly? no. But how exactly do you treat a bunch of brainwashed, paranoid religious maniacs who are sitting on a stockpile of guns and have already shot and killed police?
Most of what people think could have been done better is pure hindsight, and usually based on ignorance of details.

They are very legal and it's the constitutional right of the people t to form militia groups of the need arises, particularly against a tyrannical government. Also, some of their weapons may have been illegally converted, but they weren't themselves illegal at all. This was the government showing US, the American people, what they would do if we put a toe out of line, legal or illegal, and we should all be enraged by it, and forever defiant against it. So, the feds were shocked at Koresh buying and selling guns? The ATF SOLD him a federal firearms license so he could legally sell guns. CS "gas" isn't a gas at all. It's a finely powdered chemical irritant dissolved in Acetone, and relies upon the high volatility of the Acetone to quickly evaporate into the air and dry the powder so it can be carried on the slightest changes in air currents within the building. The flash bang grenades that FBI launched into the buildings after detonating the CS grenades would have ignited the very air within those buildings. FBI had to know this would happen and deliberately allowed every man, woman and child burn to death in retaliation for the deaths of 4 ATF agents. Fun fact: the defense contended that the agents may have accidentally shot one another, and asked to examine the bullets removed from their bodies. ATF agents were using a 10mm "cookie cutter" bullet that was custom built by US Govt armories, and unavailable to civilians. At the request of prosecutors, the judge refused the request.

Also the first girlfriend breakup drove him even more crazed...he constantly berated people with the Word of God with a angry demeanor....he was a very volatile and could be considered a danger. My husband told vernon's mother about how unstable he was...but it feel on deaf ears, she was his mother and protective of him but she had fear too. this was in Saxy, Tx..just outside of Dallas. When the news broke on TV about Waco.....my husband wasn't shocked, he even thought about talking to the Atf/fbi to offer any help.....We had just had our first child...I said stay away from this...we prayed for those people to Please send out the all the children....but My husband knew early on that this wasnt going to end well. It was heartbreaking, and strange to see this guy go on for days...on TV day after day. This guy was a danger from the get go. Yes, Koresh was a psychopath and should've been arrested for what he was doing. But make no mistake, the FBI is the reason those women and children died. The FBI has blood on their hands. Why are these men behind uniforms able to go scot-free after clearly committing mass murder of innocent people? You only had to arrest one guy, but you murdered 21 children along with taking other innocent lives in the process. I'm sure Koresh didn't live inside his compound 24/7 since he had to go outside for food and essentials. So, being the FBI or someone with half a brain cell, you could've surveilled him to find out his routine visits and exits from his compound, and then planned to arrest him outside of his compound, thereby not placing anyone's life in danger. But because you guys are highly sophisticated, you decided to emulate your ATF buddies by carrying out another siege after knowing they already failed in their lame attempt. Well done! You guys are truly inspirational.

I think the Davidians were a bit weird but harmless. The FBI could have arrested Koresh and questioned him away from the compound. They acted aggressively from the first moment they got the warrant to know at the door, killing the dogs. Shooting through the roof and shooting the water supply up. They threatened the mothers that even if they gave themselves up they would never see their kids again. Playing noise around the clock to deprive the Davidians of sleep and eventually torching the building after using military grade tear gas on everyone inside. This was evil, premeditated, and carried out with the full knowledge of the Clinton regime. The worst thing is, they will do this sort of stuff again, and probably on a much bigger scale next time.

So there are a lot of people who never saw the interview with the local sheriff who explained what was going on. One morning after a large group of men left the house, as they always did, to go to jobs in the surrounding community, a large group of ATF agents surrounded the house. Agents at the rear of the house found where families living in the house, kept their family dogs, and started shooting the dogs. Agents at the front of the house, hearing gunfire, started blindly shooting at the house, as did a group of agents in a helicopter hovering over the house. After a failed attempt to 911 to try to stop agents shooting at their house, they armed themselves, started shooting back. The whole 51 day stand off was the result of the people in the house simply wanting someone not affiliated with the feds to come in and look at evidence they had that they had not started the shooting. Local sheriff knew these people, they knew him, and he tried for weeks to get the feds to let him go in and see what evidence they had, but was denied. The only thing these people were guilty of, was following a wicked, false religion and even then, they have the right to practice whatever they believe. This was a live fire training exercise for the powers that shouldn't be, end of story. The allegations of child abuse were thoroughly investigated and found to be baseless. And, though I find it vile, even the child marriage aspect is a non actor, as in all but, I believe, seven states, child marriage, with parental consent is actually legal in the US. This was a knock warrant. They knocked with automatic gunfire and got the fight they were looking for. Anyone who thinks they should have just "obeyed", needs to rethink things. Ruby Ridge, Waco and OKC were events to demonize those who are deemed "anti government". Funny, because, even though I am completely non political, an anarchist actually, the founding fathers that so many of you statists love, were "anti government" too. They stood against the "authority" of the crown. Just remember, for those cheering this....what happens when that government that you say they should have just obeyed, shows up with their mraps and militarized police, because something YOU believe is now deemed "illegal"? It CAN and WILL happen people.

Wait. The adults watched as Vernon raped children. Children who were so young that it is considered pedophilia. The adults watched and knew and probably heard the whimpers and cries as Vernon tore into them. It is good that the adults died. No empathy for any of the adults. It is unfortunate about the children, but they finally found the sweet release of not being CONTINUOUSLY raped by a paranoid/delusional/moron. Vernon was not very bright -- his nickname throughout his childhood was "Retardo".

amazing, and after all these years, most comments here speak louder than the words of david, who rightfully warned us about the army of babylon, still rolling into our homes every day...

@@rkzinczy Exactly. Some people laugh in terrible situations that they didn't cause but are a part of because their brain can't handle the information provided. It's like people can't help it sometimes and an emotion whether or not appropriate comes out.

Stories like these are big reasons why im afraid of religion's effect on people. The level of control that was held over those people is terrifying. You can make anyone do anything if you make them believe in it enough. Absolutely terrifying.

While cults express purpose is to bring you CLOSER to God......Their very operation puts you farther FROM God and sanity....!!...I call this The Diametric Parallel......!
A Diametric Parallel is when something LOOKS LIKE what it ''allegedly'' is....but
close scrutiny....reveals defect and ERROR...to the point that you see that the cults function is SELF-CONTRADICTORY !!!!!
