    Add9 chords are really other-worldly. I usually use them in most of my music to make them carry the mood easier to the listener...

    Thank you Antoine, these are beautiful chords, I have been so occupied, but all you have taught and showed me will really make a beautiful song I will write for my wife who is passing away. You are always there with a very kind heart! May the sounds of music bless you in every way! And may life grant you longevity! 😑

    I looooove add 9 chords. I was playing them for years not knowing what they were. I all I knew is I was trying to open up the bar chord to add extra voicing. Leaves the fretting hand free to hammer on the chord fingering in between right hand picking. Gave it that ethereal sound, and I could add extra notes to the finger pattern. Did that make sense? No it didn’t lol

    I love minor add 9 chords. I was introduced to these chords through the Mexican requintista Juan Neri of Los Tres Ases. In his song Nuestra Cobardía he uses it many times over the ii,the song is in the key of C

    hey thanks for creating this video. I learned a lot. My question is where in a major/minor chord progression can we insert these chords?

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitar
      @AntoineMichaudGuitar  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My pleasure! You can insert these chords when the 9th added fits within the key. So in a Major key that can be on the ''I'', ''ii'' ''IV'' or ''vi'' chords. In a minor key, that can be on the ''i'', ''bIII'', ''iv'' or ''bVI'' chords.

    • @JoshMcClam
      @JoshMcClam 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AntoineMichaudGuitar thank you for answering my question. I am trying to find out where in a key can you add different kinds of chords, like maj 7, minor 9th, 6th...etc

    Hi Antoine - thanks again for the information that you shared with me 2 weeks ago. I now have the Strymon Iridium and purchased the Deco and the Dig I will have them in a few days. I realize those are not the best for ambient (Big Sky or Timeline) but I will get there over time - a few months from now- as I actually prefer ambient overall. I liked Brian Eno albums as they were released so I was way ahead of everyone else my age when I was 17 - I'm old now! lol. Can you help me again? I have a guitar interface ---the Iridium ---Deco ----Dig---American Pro II Strat. What order? Does it matter with these 3? I purchased several small patch cables for stereo between each pedal. Thanks - Joel

    is this in the KORDZ programme too?

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitar
      @AntoineMichaudGuitar  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no module specifically on add9 chords in the KORDZ Program, but the course eventually leads you to be able to build any chord from scratch, so that goes a lot deeper than just showing you 28 chord shapes. Hope that makes sense :-)
