@@paulchristenson5256 I honestly don't know. The PBA used to keep track of that. I don't know if they do any more. Probably a bit more than that. Took me about a minute to figure out what 112 (# of PBA 300 games I assume) was referring to.
@@walterraywilliamsjr3964 Thanks Walter. I am 73 and want to try two handed but am afraid of injury. LOL! A while back my wife and me would go to wine tastings at Bev Mo in Irvine and met a relative of yours.
@@walterraywilliamsjr3964 After you lost your break point playing outside, if you did not have the option of going to two handed, what move and ball would you have gone to?
@@musicairplanes4884 I used the Vaporize in game 5 playing between 3rd and 4th arrow for a 223. But I thought I might have a decent reaction with the 2 handed delivery, so I tried that and it was really good for one game.
I'm surprised more senior bowler have tried converting or at least trying the two handed bowling being as successful you have been using it, with your status I would think more seniors would try it, I know with older people the body doesn't react like back in the day, I can certainly vouch for that. I do like your videos and hearing the small talk.
Some seniors have tried 2 handed bowling. But like anything, it takes a fair amount of practice. There are a few who have gone to it pretty much full time. I only do it part time. I need to practice it more despite having a few 300 games using this technique
I don't think that is going to happen. I don't plan on bowling in any regular tour events. At this point in time I couldn't even beat the PBA50 tour players bowling 2 handed for a title. But thanks for the vote of confidence.
Hmm after I stated I wish he would work on his 2 handed game he pulls out a white ball and throws last shot 2 handed good to see it wasn't the result leaving a ten pin but imo that could have been played more straight down and in just don't try for too many revs. LMAO edit time ...I can see how they turned the team score around Walt throws the monster 300 man that made me smile really happy for Walt. The only thing that maybe ruined the excitement was that I had already seen the posted 300's and was surprised to se Walt's name shown so I kind of figured this had to be the 300.
Seems WWjr and partner picked it up to qualify 7th most of the usual expected names all qualified top 12. Tough to see Deo miss by 4 pins he bowled with his dad. If I was a gambler likely see Hess/Spahr as usual in the finals.Whom might I predict they face.....hmmm Minier at the top and has had success throws a very simple consistent line but I am not picking his team I think....Hess versus Simonsen in the finals. So Hess/Spahr versus Simonsen'Franklin. Sorry Walt your consistency has struggled this year I wish he would change to two handed and smooth it out a bit so not so much variance in the reaction.
I need to practice 2 handed a lot more to use most of the time. I keep telling myself that I'm going to practice, but I don't practice much outside of league and tournaments. And that is why I bowl as many tournaments as I do, that is the best practice.
I personally feel that this game is all about attitude. The more frustrated you get, the worse you'll do. Bowlers that lose their patience easily may become good enough at the game to compete on a higher level, but it doesn't mean they'll be successful. Walter and the other legends of the game became as successful as they are because they just love the game, even when they don't do so well. They may get frustrated in the moment, but they'll get over it and move on. One bad series/tournament does not define a bowler. Patience is key.
@@XenoGuru Agreed. Getting frustrated is fine, but you need a very short memory... about a frame at a time. If you allow those frustrations to build there's nowhere to go but down.
@RewindCountry Absolutely. I used to get angry at this game when I was younger and put up horrible series sometimes due to it. Once I stopped taking the game so seriously and did as you said, one frame at a time, my average went way up and stayed there. Hope you had a great Christmas and a great new year.
Congratulations on the two handed 300! Seeing this gives me more motivation to continue learning to throw without a thumb.
Nicely done.
Great bowling Walter. Loved that 2 handed 300.
Incredible WRW. Another 300 two-handed, at 60 years old. It's fun to watch. As they say, adapt or lose. You are proof of that.
Or 65!

WTG on the 300, there is a reason you are the best there ever was and you're still going strong.
Kind of funny to see the difference in the way the old guys are playing them compared to the young guys.
The younger players tend to have much higher rev rates and play accordingly.

Good to see Keith Lesko still looking as miserable as ever. Like why are you still bowling man, you have nothing better to do? He clearly hates it.
