The girl ended up with multiple injuries. It was disgusting seeing the so-called mother almost being inconvenienced to help her child. Apparently not all parents would do what they did, but any _good_ parent would.
It was so relieving to see you interview the girl that was attacked by the racoon. It's nice to know she's not too injured and is able to talk about it.
I don’t think the coyote had rabies. It backed away the moment the dad ran up. That’s a sign its cognitive function wasn’t impaired. The raccoon though, you can see it showed no signs of fear and was acting legitimately crazy.

As a momma of two 7 year old girls, I was not prepared to hear the horrified scream that came out of both these babies, my heart sunk. I am so glade the parents were able to act fast to save thier babies. I was born and raised in the country were you have to keep your head on a swivel and be aware of your surroundings at all times, do to coyotes, bears, snakes, mountain lions, and rabid animals. 😢
I was born and raised in the country next to the forest and all the wonderful wild animals. I'd always head out into those forests and hills as an escape from the craziness and violence of society. Never once was I paranoid of wild animals. I was however, very paranoid about kidnappers and vile human beings that Could be in those woods.
Well, i know its not funny for the little girl, and im so sorry for them... But seeing the racoon fly make me laugh so hard, my missing abs hurt! Thanks for this release of dopamine 🙏
As for rabies, both animals do come out during the day. I've seen them plenty of times. It's not unheard of for a coyote to attack a person, especially a small person. Raccoons won't normally attack and not let go. The mom and both kids did get rabies shots, which is always the safest, and responsible thing to do if a wild animal bites you.

That's one of the worst nightmares as a parent! I don't want to even think about what would've happened if the parents weren't in such close proximity to their kids! I also hope that the kids aren't permanently affected mentally and emotionally!

A firearm would have come in very handy at that critical moment and rendered the coyote to be no threat to any other children in that neighborhood. So before the soy crowd jumps in and says "HOW IRRESPOSIBLE", just think if that had been an off duty officer with his child. I guarantee that any officer would not refrain from using their firearm to neutralize such a threat. A 2x4 would not be my weapon of choice in defending my family!

It’s always scary when stuff like this happens. I was attacked by a rabid raccoon about 7 years ago. It went for my dog and I grabbed my dog before he got hurt and ended up getting attacked instead. I also had to get a rabies shot and can tell you it’s horrible, well the first shot of the series is and the other ones aren’t bad at all.

Shocking in a way how bold and how fast the coyote went in on the little girl. I imagine as it hadn't yet seen the father, it felt opportunity. I used to see coyotes in the field hedgerows, across from my home. Then I would see families walking on the sidewalk. I would keep watch myself especially if the children were not very close to the parents, that worried me.
I remember my dad grabbed a sledge hammer when a raccoon was getting very close to my baby brother, papa Bear was really ready to have some new fur slippers💀😂😂

If you watch the video she doesn't throw the raccoon the first time because of the kids in the area purposely, the raccoon doesn't have hold of her. Once she shouts and people get to safety she then throws it, feel like that needs to be mentioned. Makes her even more of a legend 👊
The same thing happened to my Pug in my back yard. A Coyote jumped a 5’ fence, yes a 5’ fence but the Coyote didn’t realize my 130lb Rottweiler was laying in the dog house and when Zula the Rott noticed Pakkun the pug needed help she went into action. Realizing the Rott was huge and he had no chance he let go of our Pug and jumped the fence again. Unfortunately we live we’re the back of our house is a park, and that’s were they hang out. Boy was Pakkun Lucky his Buddy Zula came into action…

This is true love on both parents parts. The dad with his daughter took a two by four to ward off any more problems with the coyote. Momma picked up rabid raccoon and threw it far enough so as not to harm her or daughter. Loved the love these individuals shown their children. I have never seen Coyotes come out in the day time so this is an eye opener for sure. Also last year during the winter around 1am I was walking home and four coyotes were following me from behind. I kept looking back to see where they were the third time I looked back there was only one, then all of a sudden I saw the second one on the right of me the third was on the left and the Fourth was in front of me. These damn creatures had plotted against me and were trying to ambush me, luckily by this time I was very close to my house so I ran like Phobe from friends into my house. Yes I can honestly say I was scared. So everyone watch your surroundings.

That is scary... I live in Sweden and for decades it has been a rabies free zone. Unfortunately, that might change and it is scary.

Shocking in a way how bold and how fast the coyote went in on the little girl. I imagine as it hadn't yet seen the father, it felt opportunity. I used to see coyotes in the field hedgerows, across from my home. Then I would see families walking on the sidewalk. I would keep watch myself especially if the children were not very close to the parents, that worried me.

Wow! What a brave little 5 yr old girl to speak on camera how she was trying to step on it. Praise GOD and thank You Jesus for protecting the baby girl, too! May God surround this family with His love and protection and may they have no bad memories.. only gratefulness of His loving presence. It's not just rabies I would be worried about but also possible bacterial infections that the animals can transmit through their bites or scratches

If you watch the video she doesn't throw the raccoon the first time because of the kids in the area purposely, the raccoon doesn't have hold of her. Once she shouts and people get to safety she then throws it, feel like that needs to be mentioned. Makes her even more of a legend 👊

The same thing happened to my Pug in my back yard. A Coyote jumped a 5’ fence, yes a 5’ fence but the Coyote didn’t realize my 130lb Rottweiler was laying in the dog house and when Zula the Rott noticed Pakkun the pug needed help she went into action. Realizing the Rott was huge and he had no chance he let go of our Pug and jumped the fence again. Unfortunately we live we’re the back of our house is a park, and that’s were they hang out. Boy was Pakkun Lucky his Buddy Zula came into action…
If there is a reason as to why I love big dogs so much, this story would be one of those reasons.

This is true love on both parents parts. The dad with his daughter took a two by four to ward off any more problems with the coyote. Momma picked up rabid raccoon and threw it far enough so as not to harm her or daughter. Loved the love these individuals shown their children. We need more of this We're at time where we need to be vigilant of wild, rabid and strange animals. DON'T FORGET THE TWO LEGGED CREATURES. GOD BLESS THESE LOVELY FAMILIES.🌹💎❤️💯🌟☀️

I have never seen Coyotes come out in the day time so this is an eye opener for sure. Also last year during the winter around 1am I was walking home and four coyotes were following me from behind. I kept looking back to see where they were the third time I looked back there was only one, then all of a sudden I saw the second one on the right of me the third was on the left and the Fourth was in front of me. These damn creatures had plotted against me and were trying to ambush me, luckily by this time I was very close to my house so I ran like Phobe from friends into my house. Yes I can honestly say I was scared.
So everyone watch your surroundings.
I saw two in my back yard about a month ago, about 7:30 in the morning. I live in a residential suburb of DC/Baltimore.
