Noah, but you should add that learning from someone else's mistakes, is learning too, and it's smart. Just like things don't have to be invented twice, mistakes don't _have_ to be made twice if all it takes is an honest explaination by the one who made the initial mistake.
have you ever thought of using some Milwaukee 9 amp hour or 12 amp hour battery's? and putting those in series also that fact that they have on board BMS on the batterys? also quick charging with the fast chargers and you can use the rapid charge station to quick charge them quickly 3 at a time
Just finished a drift trike for a buddy of mine. Its using a razor drift trike as a platform, which made mounting the hub motor ridiculously difficult to mount. Otherwise the battery I made works perfect and lasts a really long time, hours of riding. Most of the cells I used have a max discharge around 5-8 amps. I used all different types and then just made sure each cell group had similar capacities 17-18AH. You can exceed the max discharge but it will continue to heat up the batteries quicker then they should be, and heat is what damages cells. Realized I shoulda made a video of me building this thing, expect I realized that halfway through...
Looking good Austin. I just tagged you on an Instagram comment showing what happens when you don't use a torque arm. Leaf Bike should start including torque arms with their kits, maybe after they see your video. I burned my first speed controller last week, carrying too heavy of a load, half of the MOSFETS unsoldered themselves from the circuit board and it released the magic blue smoke. I thought speed controllers were basically the same, but I upgraded from a 32 amp to a 50 amp and the increased acceleration is incredible. I also upgraded all of the battery wires to 10 gauge with 45 amp Anderson Powerpole connectors. I'm looking forward your test drive video. It would be cool to see some telemetry when you ride.
Good job, nice video too! You've got everything set up well to become a big channel here! Keep those projects and videos coming, they are both entertaining and educational, and I draw inspiration from them too...
I'm wondering if I should look for part 4 - where he discovers after building the new pack that his controller is a huge bottleneck. That controller is only rated for 30 amps - your pack puts out 35. Controller peak is irrelevant, as that's a mutliplier of battery voltage that you'll see under acceleration. You might see 70 phase amps off the line, but that's based on the 30amps that the controller can use. Increasing to a bazillion amps would not increase it above 70 or whatever phase amps you were already getting.
The one thing I cant find is the Red and Blue 18650 battery caps I couldn't understand their name ? Could you tell me what you called those caps? Great Video loved it
HI ! Very good project ! Could you please navigate me to the place, where I can get your plans. I saw you have done it in Fusion 360. Will be easy to ppl who would like to replicate your project. Thanks in advance.
Please l need you to do me a little favour. I want you to help me purchase a 48v lithium battery and a 48v electric hub motor for my DIY project. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon...
Thumbs up for telling us about the mistakes
Really nice work, dude! About the mistakes, well... That's the only way to learn. 😉
MC's Creations that sure is the way to learn, learning from your mistakes is learning, learning from someone, is basically copying.

Luke Arts Absolutely! 😊
Would a 16S battery still work on the 48V setting or is the motor controller rated for maximum motor voltage and not minimum?
whats that thing on spray paint can u tell me name of that seems make spray paint easy to use
Great job and very honest showing your mistakes.. no problem doing mistakes if you learn new stuff!!! Congratulations!!👏👏👍
No one learns from a success. They learn from mistakes.
Ideally, the mistakes of others,
Can you describe how to wire this controller
Where do you buy your batteries? I can't find any good suppliers.
Loving your channel, bud. I'm a technician at a semi conductor fab, so it's nice to see a small part of my job made fun.
How fast can you go?
Honesty always pays off. Great vid! Keep on pushing and creating
Thank you!
what are the pros and cons with front vs rear wheel drive?
buy a rear Wheel drive, they usually have higher torque - and simply mount it in your front wheel

2:26 hey, that's my car! 😎 also, those hats are sweet!!
Thanks Isaac!
Can i have the link for The new Battery

How long do you need for Build the Drift Trike
After watching this,I don’t want to go electric,at all. It way to much trouble?
Where did you buy the sony 18650 cells.
it may be not really important but I've just noticed at 3:00 that the tread of your front tire is pointing backwards... IMO
Nice blue paint, "made in Poland" would be proud of you.
I need that key thing for my ebike so I can get an accurate battery idea and for the key
Does anyone know where I can get a key switch? For it identical to what he has?
Hello, What kind of 3d printer are you using, and are you happy with it? I ask because Iam looking for one
Does a blender motor works?

I almost forgot, you got braces!
Thanks Scott! And yeah I definitely wouldn't want that to happen to me. Hopefully you don't run into any problems with your new controller!
I did yes haha!
Cool that you got to see it operational! You live and your learn. Can't wait to see the end result!
You could make a part 4 rebuilding the battery and 5 final test reveal
Controller doesn’t pull current it’s just rated for the current the motor can pull
Excellent job and video series! What do you feel are the differences between front or rear wheel driving of a drift bike build?
Good job, nice video too! You've got everything set up well to become a big channel here! Keep those projects and videos coming, they are both entertaining and educational, and I draw inspiration from them too...
Thanks so much I appreciate that!
Awesome bro..my next project
The trike looks clean!
Thanks Ben!

How much for it
Great video! I wish I had one of these, or the money to make one!
Didn't you make the same mistake in your last project Alternator Go Kart?
Awesome video 🤙🤙
The one thing I cant find is the Red and Blue 18650 battery caps I couldn't understand their name ? Could you tell me what you called those caps? Great Video loved it
Great video can't wait for the final build. What was the cost of the new batteries?
Thanks! I will be adding a link for the new batteries as well as the BMS.
wheel name
Pretty cool channel, already on the road to 100k , keep it up !
Thank you!
Yep, there's alotta fun right there!!
Top speed on the trike?
Will be determined in the next video!
Nice job?? But we old ppl called those” Big Wheels”! They were 2 foot power or your buddy pushing.
I'm from Wawa too! Good job!
Do you live in Vineland Ontario lol
I waited so long for this
Sorry about the delay!
austiwawa np
why did you make it front wheel drive. you cant really drift consistently with front wheel drive. most if all drift trikes are rear wheel drive.
For my next project I will be converting the trike to RWD!
how about all wheel drive. havent seen it done before and it would be awesome
👏👏👏👏👏
Kick ass
I didn't know people were still doing this. lol

Those back wheels need some rubber, they keep losing traction 😆
Bitch its meant for drifting
PC Fanboy r/swoosh !!! 🤣
may u convert a old tyni car to electric light car , gj
nice job ^^
I better be in the last video

Belyful
I would greatly appreciate it if u or someone could help me out with my brakes!
Should have made it rwd
Coming soon!
Not fast...
Please l need you to do me a little favour.
I want you to help me purchase a 48v lithium battery and a 48v electric hub motor for my DIY project.
Thank you and hope to hear from you soon...
Your drift trike sucks because it uses front wheel drive
THEN YOU BUILD ONE , PUT MONEY WHERE YOU MOUTH IS YOU HATER.
