    This is actually incredibly significant. A player can easily be put off using the arms depending on the coaches and or level and league they play in. It’s often not that simple

      Facts. I just got back into playing. The more experienced players always seem to strip me of my possession with their arms. (In my defense I did NOT look before receiving the ball)

    it makes ball protection way easier but in low level local leagues refs tend to blow a whistle for it, even when done correctly. even if the ref dosent call it, players in my local leagues get mad and start playing dirty out of frustration

    The German defensive midfielder Christoph Kramer has said in an interview that the strength of Messi's arm has impressed him.
    For example, look at the assist from Messi for the first goal in the Finalissima against Italy or the assist for the third goal against Croatia in the semifinal at the World Cup 2022.

    I played a DM, chased a guy with the ball, dropped a shoulder before him and swinged the arm as usual. The poor guy turned in the air legs up and landed on his back which was super painful on the turf field. It turns out you need to be more careful with lighter and shorter guys))

    Sneaky stiff arm doesnt work in the same way across leagues. In lower leagues, Refs call foul and players start playing dirty because they perceive you as a dirty player.
    Only in the middle and above is it acceptable footballer behavior culturally spraking.

    Nowadays, everyone has learned this already. The game is more physical now than ever imo, and people at most levels inderstand the importance of using their arms. The most important thing is being able to use it better than your opponents, knowing you need to use your arms isn't enough

    Hi Fervi, I really love your content 😊. Anyways, I'm 16 years old, will be 17 in 2 months. I played in academies, like private academies where u pay and train, but we get to play matches against youth teams of clubs in the top league of the country here troughout my whole life, started football at 7. Even though I know you never saw me play 😅, I have always been told I'm talented by coaches in my home country and in the country I live in right now. But I never played in clubs, only private academies. Because in the country i live in you have to be from the country, like both your parents from there, or at least born in the country to play in clubs. And I wasn't, so now I found an agent who can get me trials in spain, but i have to send him a highlight video and CV, but my question is do you think i still have time to go pro? Like I'm aiming to hopefully one day play in a top 5 league in the world at least, that's my goal. I hope to get accepted in the trials in spain and then work my way to first team with the team I'll tryout for, I know compettition there is tough but i feel confident in my abilities. I heard people say though that players like me who never really played in youth teams of clubs and stuff would simply not be able to compete with kids in the clubs' youth team since like 7 or 8 and stuff no matter how good they are, do you think it's true? Please i need honest advice and also do you think it's possible for me to make it to first team there and debut with the first team in la liga eventually if i prove to be good enough or is it over just because of the age i started going to clubs at, my previous like experience, and the factors i mentioned here above? And what advice can you give me as a player in general? More specifically as a winger who is really good on the ball, good with the fundamentals but i feel like I lack in positioning and some of the tactical stuff and decision making? Especially because I never learned those stuff properly in like 11 a side games, in the academies i played in, while kids in the youth team of the club I'm gonna do a trial for probably had professional structured coaching on these stuff since they were like 9 or 10, thanks in advance!

    • @FerviFootball
      @FerviFootball  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      First of all, yes you 100% can because even if you weren't talented you are still putting in the effort to trial and get better and ur only turning 17. That just shows you have the right mentality. 1 year is a lot of time to improve and big things can happen in only 1 year by the time you turn 18. so make every year count. biggest thing if i was you -you say positioning and decision making is not that good but the best way to improve that is playing more 11v11 games that could be street type or structured. These sort of things take time to catch up. also learning to focus on mentality is important. like knowing how to perform because if you are good then you will get used to the training in spain and stuff, but will you perform in games? you could be good at training and not perform. those sort of things are more to do with your mentality so i would suggest getting into sport posychology and reading about it. pretty much all the pros and many of the academy players have this resource in their hands due to their academies/pro teams so its better to get into it to catch up. In terms of making a debut in the la liga and stuff I obviously don't know thats up to your self belief. Focus on getting those trials through and even if you didnt get in dont dwell on it because you will get many more opportunities and take it as a great experience. But at the end of the day many coaches and players will say you aren't cut out to make it or that you aren't good enough so its up to your own self belief whether you can do it. If things dont go to plan and you still need a pro contract by the age of 20 lets say your parents might still tell you to quit. So keep it strong and have joy in the game you play.

    • @wxbull-sr5sh
      @wxbull-sr5sh หลายเดือนก่อน

      @FerviFootball Thank you so much for this response 😊, and regarding my decision making, I've played against youth teams in the academies I was in, so it's not like I have this problem where I get stuck when I receive the ball lol, but I'm aware that the game moves wayyy faster over there in spain, so i need to take decisions even more quickly, that's what I'm mainly worried about. When it comes to positioning this is where I really want to improve, I will do my best anyways, I've decided to not give up on football unless I simply like turn 24 or something, and even though vardy made it to a pro league at 25 lol, but yea I have a backup plan on the side so that I can try my best and yea I'll see where things end up.
