Tram signals A vertical line means proceed A diagonal left means proceed left A diagonal right means proceed right A dot means prepare to stop A horizontal line means stop Also speed limit in kilometres per hour for trams (within diamond)
Did the Driver call a pedestrian a prick just after leaving Market Street station also the driver reactions were funny when the signal didn't change after upon leaving Piccadilly gardens lol
Staggering video Gloziapolis :-). Incredible stuff :-). Interesting tram drivers view from filming it :-). I have to say Gloziapolis that I think you are really lucky to have filmed the tram driver and his drivers view from when he's driving :-). Really well done :-). Just frantically fabulous Gloziapolis :-). I've never been on the Manchester public passenger tram before but there is a perserved electric tram railway I go to that's located in Brighton which is where I'm located :-). It's called the 'Volks Railway' :-). It's fun to go on :-). Alright then, have a nice evening Gloziapolis, plus I wish you all the best and stay awesome :-D :-D :-D. From your friend Foxy :-).
Interesting to see the height of street platforms, but I assume that's because parts of the line follow the route of former railways and use old platforms that are extant?
+Matt Cordes Yes, definitely that will be the next one I do, I have already shot the Bury and Altrincham lines, but they're going to be in a feature length video125 style thing.

Love the metro link in Manchester. Looking forward to coming to that great city once things open up. 😊

It’s MPH in the uk
@@konggrenski1162 On the tram network it's KPH.
@@poortuber Metrolink is an exception, uses MPH
Nice that the automated announcer actually sounds like a manc rather than the usual RP

It certainly was funny about the signal, but I'll have to watch it about Market Street
Yes he did
I didn't hear it. :P
Edit: It's just before entering Piccadilly Gardens.
GM Trainspotting it was on the arrival of Piccadilly gardens. I heard him say it.
Brilliant video.

People are so stupid when crossing tram lines. The driver was quite right in calling that pedestrian a prick.

The huge puddle of water on the track heading to piccadilly it must have been bad weather on that day

Got it in 1
All the platforms other than in Victoria were constructed for Metrolink. No trains ran through the city centre.
Can you do the Manchester Airport branch?!
+Matt Cordes Yes, definitely that will be the next one I do, I have already shot the Bury and Altrincham lines, but they're going to be in a feature length video125 style thing.
*UPDATE* Just been out to film it this afternoon, expect it on youtube next Wednesday!
Enjoy these videos. If you go on TH-cam, type in Swansea and Mumbles Railway, you will see that Swansea had a tram system up until 5th January 1960.
I wish to have tram in my country!
Same

I want a tram horn
How did you get into the cab of the tram?
+Britain's Railway's I don't, I film from behind the glass back wall. :-) Pretty convincing though isn't it?
Ahh sunny Manchester...
I went to primark marford street

Build a tram line in Manchester, have low spots on the streets, don't put in adequate drainage - IN MANCHESTER.
