    Incredible, I've been looking for a mentor or guide of some sorts for my tarot journey, and somehow came across John Ballantrae's videos. I'm usually quite selective about how and who I learn from, and with John's videos I feel right at home and in the right direction. Thank you for the videos, John !! They mean a lot.

      Thanks for your comment. I'm going to try a solution for comments and follow-ups. I am setting up a site where I can give (maybe longer) replies to Comments here and on FaceBook so additional information is in the same place and searchable. I am hoping to have it up and running in a couple of weeks and will mention it in videos.

    This tarot youtube channel is so unique, I wish everyone saw this. It's just about life and how to lead a decent one and be a decent person haha..
    Love this so much

    I think your sense of intuition and self awareness and honesty is something I deeply aspire to. It’s beautiful to hear someone say “I probably won’t read the comments, it’s not that I am rejecting you, it’s just that I am kind of lazy!”

      @Angeliz Angeliz exactly! Kind of like Rumi poems, no matter how I'm feeling or what I'm in the mood for, I turn on a random TH-cam of his and it's exactly what I need to hear that day.

    • @TheMysticHearth

    I love him so much. "Leave a comment, I probably won't respond. I'm not rejecting you, I'm just lazy." And in the last video I watched, he ended with something like "So yeah, that's it. See you next time..." I just appreciate that he doesn't mince his words, ya know?

  • @joannaoconnor9418
    @joannaoconnor9418 4 ปีที่แล้ว +40

    Even though you may not read this, it’s lovely to see you back 🙏. I’m always torn between following the prescribed meanings of cards or going purely on my own intuition. I’ve settled on traditional meanings as a starting point, coupled with my own intuitive interpretation. It seems to work well but I do worry if that’s ok to do.

    • @neilanthonyhaywardlewis8978
      @neilanthonyhaywardlewis8978 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I have just come across John on youtube, he is absolutely spot on, i never learnt specific meanings for the Tarot , it is much easier to look at the "Symbolism" of the cards and interpret exactly what you see, the four of swords, she has her head in her hands, the card of "depression" .... i have a high rate of success by not following specific meanings and that way i feel one can engage more and easier with the client.

    • @joannaoconnor9418
      @joannaoconnor9418 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@neilanthonyhaywardlewis8978 I agree, I interpret the cards via the knowledge I’ve gained throughout my life and how the symbolism makes me feel because I believe the messages are coming in from my connection to the Devine. Therefore, the messages must make sense to me personally so that I may impart the Devine knowledge. John appears to also draw on knowledge he has gained throughout his life, books he’s read, interviews he has watched, songs he has heard and life experiences etc it is a creative process and not a scientific one, so the Devine speaks in a language only we, the individual reader, can understand 🙏 .....in my humble opinion 😉

  • @benedictaww2513
    @benedictaww2513 4 ปีที่แล้ว +29

    So glad you are back. I can be lazy, too. My spirit guides tell me being “lazy” in the material world when, if fact, you are busy about many things may be a sign you are working hard in the non-material. Ever heard of night school? Your “process” sounds like expansive intuition. I love watching the TH-cam readers who lay out their cards so I may interpret them intuitively while hearing their wooden, formulaic interpretations. You are an excellent teacher, thank you. (If you read this!)

    Im learning how to read cards. I've always thought about it and finally started. I appreciate you posting things. I have never been a big money person. It is needed for things but it's not something I need nor want to see in the cards. I like the idea of not having to interrupt the cards for money.
