      Hello..Thank you so much for sharing this video and it helped me a lot to get started with component. Is it possible to add Edit Form Control or Display Form Control in Header Component to Show SP list fields(Common fields for all screens)? . I wanted to show few Sharepoint list fields under header components . I see that Form Controls are disabled or greyed out in Components. Kindly please help me

      Unfortunately components were designed to be used across apps, so you cannot currently add data sources or forms to components (as they are by design app-specific). See this article for more info (under “Known limitations” near bottom): docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/create-component

    how and where did you loaded the image in application? i couldn't find any image in my case?

      In the menu on the left there should be a Media option / icon. From there you can upload any image to your application, and then drag it onto your canvas!😊

    I started a component library so I can import a standardized header and navigation system into all of my apps and maintain the fit/function in one location. I'm frustrated that you can't add components like this to the app rather than each screen!

      That's an understandable frustration. In the future this is something that might be solved by allowing you to create custom screen templates. At the moment, the easiest workaround would be to plan on having a hidden screen in each of your apps. This screen would include all controls and visual elements of your application, including things like header, footer, nav. Then, whenever you need a new screen, you can duplicate this one, rename it, and you're off to the races.

    Is it possible to have the Header name populate from the screen name?

    • @BulbDigital
      @BulbDigital  ปีที่แล้ว

      This can be done by creating a Component custom property. Then you just need to configure the property to be SCREEN_NAME.Name. That will pass the screen name to the component and then you can just use the parameter to display it in the component. To do that you use COMPONENT_NAME.PROPERTY_NAME.

    Great content. Background music is great, but slightly too loud and distracting.
