Kick them all out? Who is ‘all’? All people who don’t have a Swedish name and white skin? Where are you going to send those who were born in Sweden and/or have citizenship? How about the loss of 5, 10, 15, 20% of the population? The ones on welfare are the minority. The majority of them work. Who is going to do their jobs? How would the economy take the hit? Who would pay for the deportations? You people live in a fantasy world. Britain thought it can do without migrants, and now they’re getting more than ever, under the same party that was shouting about sovereignty and retaking control of the borders. Migration is such a classic to keep the feeble minded distracted from anything else.

The taxi driver is 100% correct. You cannot place new immigrants in one place all together. In that scenario they'll not assimilate. They have to be around the natives so they'll learn how their new society conduct themselves. But the main sticking point is you need to only take a many as you can handle. I do not believe this bridge will do anyone any good. Sweden is almost lost.

Newcomers always stick together in a strange place, especially early on in a big migration. Every American city of size has its inner communities - Jewish, Chinese, Polish, Ethiopian, whoever. And that's fine, but means services like education, benefit and job advice, have to reach them. Kids in school are important family liaisons.

Look at this dogmatic person. There is a difference between "ethnicity" and "nationality". People born and raised here have more commonalities with Swedes (ethnicity) than with their own parents because of culture and language. The difference between a Swedish citizen and a recent immigrant is that in case of violent crime, the recent immigrant can be deported but not the Swedish citizen, the west is not ours though just like the white mofos living in southern africa arguing they've the right despite the fact their ancestry forced themselves in.

I like how a lot of people here comment about the immigrants as if they’re all inherently bad, but very few talk about how Sweden fucked up by not taking the right steps in integrating them and allowed for ghettoisation. Even more concerning is how no one is talking about the privatised education system and the ridiculous tax system. Same in Britain. People think the country is being ruined by migration, when millions upon millions of native white Brits live in poverty, all caused by the government, a bit of new Labour, but mainly the CON-servatives. And no, stopping a few immigrants is not going to reallocate funds to serve the general public, that’s not where the money went.

@@XP-nt9iy Parents are super important but nurseries and kindergartens offer different experiences for kids.
This doesn't diminish the role of parents but supplements it, allowing for a balanced upbringing.
Early educational environments help children develop foundational skills crucial for later career success. Sending kids to nursery or kindergarten can be a step towards breaking a wrong cycle.
For families where parent is not working, there is a greater likelihood that the children grow up to be dependent on public benefits.
Nursery or kindergarten can make a difference.
Social Skills: Kids learn how to play and get along with others, which is really important.
Getting Ready for School: These places help kids adjust to school, so it's easier for them later on.
Expert Care: The people who work there know a lot about kids and can help them learn and grow in ways parents might not know about.
Help for Parents: When parents get a break, they can be even better parents. Plus, many families need both parents to work.
Structure: Kids like routines, and these places provide that.
Learning About the World: Kids get to learn about different people and jobs, which is good for them.
Working Parents: For many families, both parents need to work, and daycare is an essential service.

If both parents work, no-one is there for the children. I don't say it has to be the mother who stays home, because we have substitutes for mother milk, but it is not nesisarily better if both parents work full time.
Maybe for immigrants, daycare is good at learning the language to children, though. Non the less for other cases I stay with the point that a (good) parent is better than daycare. A lot if time for young children can give them a way better upbringing then a few day care people on a group up to 10 children per person.

Many people believe that women entering the workforce drove down wages due to their being a new abundance of labor in the US. In the end, as a whole we are not better off. Of course, there are many other factors.

    • @WM78
      @WM78 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Let's clear up one thing right off the bat. It is not about the times when it's difficult for women to work, like while breastfeeding. As for me, maternity leave may be longer than 6 months and even until nursery age. I am fine with it. I am talking about taking benefits while kids should be in the nursery after a year (let's say), not to mention kindergarten and beyond. This is not a good model if the husband pays taxes, while his wife claims various benefits and is not working by herself. This is straining public resources, as the same household that contributes taxes also takes more out of the system. In the long run, this isn't a sustainable model for a healthy economy.
      PS
I'm not saying there shouldn't be support systems. There are special circumstances, but if we normalize a setup where only one parent works, we're going to fall into real economic problems. Let's aim for a balanced perspective that takes into account both individual needs and the broader economic picture@@Treinbouwer

Not really. Sweden has always been focused on global trade and have had large international corporations for a long time. IKEA, Volvo, Spotify, Ericsson etc etc. It's more focused on free trade and in many ways has a more open economy than the US. The high tax redistribution is mostly from the middle class and upper middle class to the lower class. Sweden doesn't tax wealth, so it's more of a tax haven for the wealthy. A large misunderstanding of the Swedish model and how it works is common.

As for the wealth creation it lacks competitiveness predominantly because of it's tax regime. Also state control over Sweden's real estate market is another incubus to the above. As private property is an essential component of free market economics. It's regulation is geared up to tax and spend rather than attract foreign money. A direct link to banking system and it's inflationary exchange rate. I value Swedish brands but they are cosseted by he State a bit to protect domestic industry.
