Three things most of these folks need to learn. 1. How to throw a line properly. 2. How to "take a turn" and sweat a line when holding or pulling a weight 3. Fit a midships cleat and learn how to use a midships line and engine together to hold a boat alongside. (Never driven a boat like these and wouldn't want to, but it's just basic "boatmanship")
Dusky it's definitely having a problem if I'm going to guess with that older engine the thing just won't stay running unless he's at a higher than he wanted to be RPM. I've had the same problem it is tough I don't care how much experience you have. Awesome episode 🤙
To load on the trailer in wind or current, you have to have sufficient way-on and crab to the correct spot on the bunks and/or rollers. I don't think any of these boaters have the skill for it.
Dusky guy should've just waited for the boat on the right side of the dock to leave the ramp, then he could've just let the wind push him in to the dock. I know the struggle of having an old motor shut off on you at the worst times.
Dusky just don't know how to handle the boat. When he comes near the camera is because he's in reverse. He's engine is smoking because it's an old 2-tact engine.
Duskys woman ain’t lifting a finger to help out at all.
Anyone not even attempting to help in this situation, woman or not... It would be their last time on my boat.
What can she do? One captain on the boat!
She was pretty much worthless.
Don't think it's his fault he's definitely having a problem
@@SandyMiller-w5mGrab a dock line and tie off the bow or the stern instead of sitting on her duff. The captain isn’t the only one that can tie a rope.
This is why you check the weather before you leave
That was a long way of saying that you don't live in South Florida.
@@DonziGT230 I live in the North Pole. Typically it’s frozen but 364 days of the year it’s sunny, warm and humid. Gfy
I love it!Water,wind,boats
How about Dock Lines and Fenders out BEFORE you need them!!!
Folks with open biminis should fold those sails up and give themselves half a chance.
Sometimes you have to use the wind and tide to your advantage.
Sometimes? You should always try and do that where possible.

How many times can the commentator say “this is nuts”
Cheers from chilly Toronto.
2:52 he said nuts😂 Beavis and Butthead🤙
You can see the guy on the Dusky flooring it, but the boat really isn't going anywhere.
That is soooo stressful when everyone's jockeying for position while the winds and tide are whipping around.
DUSKY needs a new steering box. His turn ratio is crazy high. Shouldn't be 15 full revolutions from full port to full starboard.

Who makes that miniature pontoon boat? Kinda cool
Sea-Doo Switch
That looks like a real MESS!!

My god I can’t imagine having to deal with a launch ramp every time like this
Dusky guy should've just waited for the boat on the right side of the dock to leave the ramp, then he could've just let the wind push him in to the dock. I know the struggle of having an old motor shut off on you at the worst times.
Heavy wind and these light hulls can give anyone fits at the ramp
That's why we don't go boating in winds above 15 knots
Exactly
If you've never had surprise wind hit when you were out on a boat either you've been really lucky or haven't boated much.
Hard to feel bad for someone who goes to the ramp and has zero lines ready.
Any time I leave or come back to my slip, the wind kicks in.
Hi. I’m the guy that repairs your paint/gelcoat/fiberglass. As you can guess business is great…Want a pros advice on boats? Don’t get one
Pick a number, boat landing
Dusky didn't have control for even one minute. It's almost a mistake he even made it to a dock at the end.
@ 4:28, My guy, the Cameraman.
Hi
A lot of boats at the docks, but very few loading up..🙄
Common sense is totally absent here
Poor guys…. Just imagine these people drive cars
Cars have brakes and tires on solid ground. Light years easier.
Time to give up boating, buddy. Take up something you can handle. Perhaps checkers?

Who in their right mind would go out in 30 mph winds??? Looking for trouble. Check the weather next time.

Pathetic. Rule #1: Learn how to use boat, THEN use boat.
They all need Power Squadron courses, or the equivalent.
