- Nigerian music legend and reggae king Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly called Majek Fashek has passed away.
His death was confirmed by his manager Omenka Uzoma, on the late singer’s official Instagram handle in a video.

He had edo mother and yoruba father, his more affiliation to edo was because he grew up with his mother in Benin, he was born and raised in Benin, he speaks edo fluently and proudly. He care much about the Benin culture as reflected in his last music before his death. Nigeria has too many problem from both the leaders and the followers. MAJEK FASHEK use to live with me here in the states for over seven years in new York city. and normally MAJEK use to cry about stomach pain and i usually advice him to go for a checkup in the hospital and get a treatment. but MAJEK just never take my advice. i was choked to ear that he die . well my prayers goes out to him and his foamily.
