Her opponent, as Secretary of State, decided a whole lot of her supporters needed to be removed from voting rolls and the rest needed a much harder time exercising their right to vote. He should have recused himself from all decisions regarding the election but instead he used the power of his office to give himself an advantage over Abrams, and Republicans over Democrats in general.
She is absolutely correct that voting results is up to the voters and voting access would be the government that's true especially since they're literally choosing who should run and represent the people. Because that's what government is is supposed to represent the people so the people want certain things they need someone who can bring out those wants and can act on it

There are so many progressors I want to see win, especially in Georgia but the gerrymandering and and other horrible antivote laws instituted makes me fear for the worse.
Progressives should be working in arts and crafts, not politics. They get dominated in Congress and don't have what it takes to deliver beneficial policies. Instead they do what they're told to do by the shadow govt that sets the agenda.
I was born and raised in Atlanta and am in grad school in Conneticut- the day absentee ballot applications opened, I registered and mailed it the same day it came. I'm registered to vote in one of two counties (Dekalb and Fulton) this monstrous voter suppression bill targeted. I'm voting for all my fellow Georgians who've had their voter IDs purged, who have been victims of voter suppression, and for all the healthcare and frontline workers who died because of Kemp's decisions during COVID-19.
