It was really rude of those girls telling Anne, she shouldn't be looking, or talking to Gilbert. When it was pretty obvious that he loved her, from the moment he saved her from Billy. If they were truly her friend, they wouldn't keep that rule, and I love Ruby, but she should've moved on from the beginning, it was really obvious he would never dated her, because his heart belonged to his future wife Anne. I wish Anne would've explained to Gilbert, why she couldn't talk to him.
