Great list! Ever since you mentioned Foundational Comics, I’ve been on the hunt for these types of books. Last year, I picked up a pretty nice copy of Blip #1. Thanks to this video, I have 4 others to look for. Keep up the great work!
@AlextheComicHoarder he was Charles Ingalls son Albert Quinn. Food for thought for your viewers though! How come we don't ever see Alex and Matthew Labyorteaux ever in the same room together 🤔🤔
Liking the Jack Kirby cover cool pickups you found some great treasures I don't much about that Blip book looks cool for the time congratulations on all you found
Conan 23 isn't a cameo appearance of Red Sonja. That's her first appearance, and it's a full appearance. She's on several pages, in several panels, is a part of the story, and is named. Conan 24 is her first cover appearance.
Great video, but sad news. We are heading down to Missouri next week to see friends and had planned a day to visit your local comic shop. But alas, they sold their comics. 😢
@@AlextheComicHoarder We actually went to STL Comics on our last trip per your recommendation (and we mentioned your name). We actually lived in St. Louis for several years, so I’m very familiar with the comic book scene, but your 2 recommendations outside of the city were on our radar. I sure miss the Shrewsbury shows. 😉
Hey man quite new to the hobby and learning about it. With so many comic books out there with crazy amounts of key books which are valuable. how do it begin to learn to remember the books which are valuable. I mean I've seen loads of videos where people are picking up these books and know what's the key and the value etc. What can I do to get better. ? Secondly I just began reading comics and thinking about collecting keys. With my limited knowledge is it better to read first (I read digitally) and from the ones that I read I pick up the keys that I like . Would that be a better approach than memorizing and picking up keys what would be your advice?
THIS was a powerful video for me. Sincerely. I have a personal relationship with all of the comics you showed. I've seen them over and over in dollar bins and long boxes. I even own two of them! YOUR video compelled me to put the rest on my want list and I HATE doing that! I really want to finish my list before I die and every comic I add makes it harder. I added THREE comics to my want list because of YOU! I'm going to track them down and buy them. I'd like to make a video that tells if I thought they were worth it. I'm going to be honest. Is that OK with you? P.S. You should know that the cards are stacked against you. I have passed on those three comics for DECADES. I've seen them and flipped through them and never owned them. I own some crap comics. They're just noteworthy enough to keep. Barely. THOSE three (Devil Dinosaur, Red Sonja, Blip) were below them. I promise to go in with an open mind though. No preconceptions. An honest review of the comics you recommended. Also, I'll get nice copies. A comic's condition impacts my experience. So, do you mind if I make a video reviewing these comics? Thanks.
@@thecomicsamurai I get it! Only buy them obviously if it’s a good deal in the condition you want. I love finding books in the wild. I hardly ever chase these types of book on eBay or other places like that. I also pass typically if the book has a premium value on it. I look forward to seeing your thought my friend.
I don’t want to hear anymore about Great River Collectibles since they have decided to get rid of their comic books to concentrate on other collectible genres. GRC is dead to me now.

Lol says and points.. with a straight face.. this dazzler 1 is a direct copy..
Oh I get it, cuz dazzler was the first without a newsstand release 🤓 so they're all direct edition
Matthew Labyorteaux is the kid on the cover of Blip. He was on Little House On The Prairie 😊
That’s awesome. Was he Almanzo? I might be thinking of the wrong character, but that is a pretty neat bit of trivia.

@@gnayr1305 let me know where in Missouri and I can make a few suggestions. If you’re near St Louis you will want to visit STL Comics for sure.
