We still have to get a release date for Capcom Fighting Collection 2 (which may be shadow dropped or comming real soon), the fabled Zelda Windwaker and Twilight Princess Ports, Metriod Prime 2-3, and a whole slew of other games you may not have expected.
If the leaked info is true that Switch 2 will be released in June, that means this could actually be the final Switch Direct ever. Hopefully, they go out with a bang if that's the case.

Nope. There is no Switch 2 version of Prime 4. While playing Prime 4 on a Switch 2 through backwards compatibility, it is possible you will be able to use the mouse controls, but that's all I'll give you.

Don't need a double pack. Have Prime 2 Remastered shadow dropped in the Direct. And available physically 2 weeks later. And have Prime 3 come out 2 months later in April. Then Prime 4 in the Summer. I honestly don't see Prime 4 coming until between June - September.

My guess is that it's gonna be a Direct Mini focused on confirming release dates for Metroid Prime 4 and showing off one last trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles X with some third-party stuff thrown in for good measure. If the Switch 2 is still releasing in June as has been speculated, then it would make sense that Nintendo would want to set up their schedule for the first half of the year so that there isn't a lull in releases before then.
Would it make sense to have a Direct that also functions as a sign off for a super successful console? Like a "Hey, you know what's coming, but here's how we stick the landing on a super successful generation of console." with the last big batch of games?

I read they are holding wind waker (and twilight princess by association), for the switch 2 because the switch 2 has a mic and that allows them to integrate some wii u functionality with miiverse or something. Basically they want to wait until the switch 2 to add all the functionality of the wii u release relating to the mic.

Man if Metroid Prime 4 doesn’t have some sort of switch 2 patch to make it better on the new console (or something similar) it’s gonna be a huge disappointment. Retro is known for getting their next Gen hardware early (as they did with the Wii) and if ANYONE was working early for the new hardware, it is them.
We will probably get another year to 18 months of switch 1 games or at least cross gen. They arent walking away from 150 million install base the day switch 2 launches.
I can't help that were not talking about Mario, cause this year marks the 40th anniversary for Mario. And don't they celebrate Mario day in March too. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually do bring Twilight Princess next year, cause 2026 will mark as the 20th anniversary for Twilight Princess, which came out in 2006.

So we got a release date for the April direct but when is the February direct. I'm still on the edge of getting the switch 2 it all depends on how many people liked it and how much the switch 2. Anyway next month's direct I'm looking forward to seeing so we can finally know when the release date for wind waker HD and twilight princess HD so hopefully the February direct won't let us down. Some of this is a long shot but here goes... Metroid Prime 2 and 3 shadowdropped and release date for 4 Luigi's Mansion 1 HD Bravely Default 1 and Bravely Second Remaster Kirby (possible dual pack of Triple Deluxe and Robobot) I am skeptical we will get any final Zelda content for Switch 1 but if we do I think we could get something Ocarina of Time related perhaps a possible 1080p 60fps remaster (not a reimagining). As for Wind Waker and Twilight Princess I think they will be on Switch 2. The increased processing power of Switch 2 may it possible for 60fps. I am probably talking out of my rear here but if Miiverse makes a possible return to Switch 2 then this might be why we havent seen WW or TP on Switch 1 assuming Nintendo couldn't find workarounds for the Tingle Bottle or TPHD's stamps.

We are not spending $60 on standalone remasters of Planet Robobot and Prime 2. Too expensive otherwise.

For SNES, we could get Earthbound/Mother 2.
For Yoshi’s Woolly World, they could a new side story mode for Baby Bowser. For Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, they could replace the coloured Waddle Dees with Dedede and Meta Knight and add a new side story mode for Elline. For Super Mario 3D Land, they could add a new 2-player co-op mode for Mario and Luigi and add a Mario vs. Luigi mode. For Kirby Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot, they could add new side story modes for Taranza and Susie. For Super Mario Galaxy 2, they could add a new side story mode for Rosalina. For New Super Mario Bros. Wii, they could add playable Toadette and Nabbit. For Kirby Air Ride, they could add new characters like Bandana Dee, Rick, Kine, Coo, Gooey, ChuChu, Marx, Magolor, Adeleine, Ribbon, Dark Meta Knight, Galacta Knight, Morpho Knight, Daroach, The Squeaks, Taranza, Susie, The Three Mage-Sisters, Hyness, Elfilin and Clawroline. They could also add new tracks, and like Mario Kart DS, they could add a mode that allows you to paint your vehicle, Mission Mode and Online Play, which could also work with F-Zero GX. For Kirby 64, they could add a new side story mode for Adeleine and Ribbon. For Earthbound, they could add online play. For the bundled games, they could do the same menu as Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, like what Sega did with Sonic X Shadow Generations.
If we don’t get Prime 2 and 3 at the Feb. direct. I’m throwing my hands up and moving on.
We'll definitely see Prime 2 but we won't see Prime 3 till Summer. Then again, judging by the product releases there's likely a chance to be a MPTR

If they do a full Nintendo Direct. I think Metroid Prime 4 beyond gets shown first with a release date. The release date October with a shadow drop of Prime 2 and 3. And hopefully a port of Fzero GX remastered to Switch. The final announcement Mario kart 9 it will be on the Switch and Switch 2.

Man if Metroid Prime 4 doesn’t have some sort of switch 2 patch to make it better on the new console (or something similar) it’s gonna be a huge disappointment. Retro is known for getting their next Gen hardware early (as they did with the Wii) and if ANYONE was working early for the new hardware, it is them.
MP4 Beyond will be launch title for NS2. Expect it to take advantage of the optical sensor, for FPS targeting.
As long as it’s not a requirement to use the optical sensor. I personally don’t think I’ll like using it

MP4 is a given I think. Outside of that I would keep expectations down...there will be Switch 1 games for a transition but we don't know how many.
We will probably get another year to 18 months of switch 1 games or at least cross gen. They arent walking away from 150 million install base the day switch 2 launches.

I can't help that were not talking about Mario, cause this year marks the 40th anniversary for Mario. And don't they celebrate Mario day in March too.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually do bring Twilight Princess next year, cause 2026 will mark as the 20th anniversary for Twilight Princess, which came out in 2006.

So we got a release date for the April direct but when is the February direct. I'm still on the edge of getting the switch 2 it all depends on how many people liked it and how much the switch 2. Anyway next month's direct I'm looking forward to seeing so we can finally know when the release date for wind waker HD and twilight princess HD so hopefully the February direct won't let us down. Now for the switch 2 it looks amazing but like u said it's all depends with how many people liked it and how much it is.

I am skeptical we will get any final Zelda content for Switch 1 but if we do I think we could get something Ocarina of Time related perhaps a possible 1080p 60fps remaster (not a reimagining).
As for Wind Waker and Twilight Princess I think they will be on Switch 2. The increased processing power of Switch 2 may it possible for 60fps.
I am probably talking out of my rear here but if Miiverse makes a possible return to Switch 2 then this might be why we havent seen WW or TP on Switch 1 assuming Nintendo couldn't find workarounds for the Tingle Bottle or TPHD's stamps.
