Question. Having overwintered the plants under a mulch layer, I assume you remove that layer in the Spring when the frost risk has gone?

Depending on what you use, if the garlic isn't pushing through in the spring, I'd carefully remove it.

I have hundreds of tinnnnyyyy bulbils that I have no idea what to do with lol. I yanked a “stick” out of a friends yard (she had passed away), but to my surprise…. It wasn’t a stick lol.

oh wow! you could try planting them, but they may not grow that well. You can use smaller cloves that don't get planted in the kitchen instead.

I’m sure people, like me, watch these videos to LEARN. U forgot to mention watering the garden bed after planting the garlic-before u mulched, or just afterwards. An inexperienced gardener will have wasted their patch

Yes, apologies - I did forget to mentioning watering in the garlic after planting. Depending on where you live, you may not have a problem if you forget to water, especially if you live in an area which typically has rain in the autumn. Just be careful not to over water.
