This yard is massive compared to the lots they sell today. Looked like a private oasis. People don't even wanna plant a native tree in today's lots because eventually your entire yard will be full shade. What I see today is a 50X100 lot full of tiny ornamentals that do nothing for our environment.

"High-density housing .... it's a really smart way for people to have a really nice house; a little yard ...." as quoted at start of programme is a blight on the environment. The houses need to be way smaller -- they'd still be "a really nice house" -- and the surroundings way larger, with trees and native plantings. It's mentally-draining seeing so many overbuilt, environmentally-destructive buildings clustered together.

I think it must be a cultural thing but I hate the use of 'yard' instead of 'garden'. A 'yard' does not conjure up something of beauty whereas a 'garden' does.

Makes me sad when i see gardens with so many non native plants which degrades the environment and hurts both birds and pollinators.

I guess you could have concrete and piles of garbage in his yard instead. One little yard, come on🤨
