  • Hi guys!! As requested this video is my go to tips for recovery :) I have a lot of different methods and tools that I use when I recovery from a hard day at the track, so I hope you guys were able to learn a couple things and find something you want to add to your recovery routine. I know a lot of these tools are pretty expensive, so don't think everything I show is a necessity!! There are plenty of other budget friendly recovery methods that I shared in this video that you should look in to before making a big purchase! Above all, make sure you are taking care of your body so you can reach your fullest potential on the track, court, pool or field :)

Great video! This gave me a lot of other recovery tools I hadn't previously thought of. Another tool I consistently use for recovery is compression gear. Most people think that compression socks or sleeves are only helpful when you have shin splints, which don't get me wrong they are, but as someone who constantly deals with tightness in my calves, compression gear has worked wonders for me. Its also pretty hands off if you don't have a ton of time to recover, just pop some compression sleeves on and go about your day like normal.

Find someone who specializes in Deep tissue messages with trigger points and who specializes in athletes. Doing this once a month or as needed in season will do a lot for you. This is not the type of message that is tranquil and relaxing. A professional athlete who had a serious back injury pointed me to some guys in the Pittsburgh area. The pro athlete said he tried chiropractics, medical Dr, and physical therapy, and thought he would never be able to lift again. He said these guys saved his career.
The most important thing is probably getting good sleep. Not just the number of hours, but the quality you may need to change your sleeping environment to make it happen.

There's no recovery there is no soreness if one eats healthy foods and stretches and maintains muscles that never tighten up you should always be able to touch your toes at a whim any day of the week at anytime... I do yoga and the more I scratch and keep my flexibility the healthier and better I peeled when my body tightens up it's because I cannot touch my toes
