We are blessed to be living during a time having had the opportunity to enjoy some great blues guitar players while continuing to enjoy a second generation of guitar players who inherited skills from their great musician fathers (Allman, Betts, Allison, and of course Ronnie Baker Brooks among others. Lets add in Eric Gales, the younger brother of Little Jimmy King, as I think Jimmy mentored Eric, and of course the Trucks dynasty is also amazing). But to my ear and tastes, Ronnie Baker Brooks is an uniquely rare musician/musician's son in that he scrupulously ensures that his superlative chops amplify without getting in the way of his musicianship. Reminds me of Luther Allison - great blues rock while making every note count, an ability that also distinguished BB King and Albert King. What a treasure in Ronnie. Not to take anything away from Eric Gales, Bernard Allison, and Derek Trucks each of whom has offered us so much great music on their ascents to guitar greatness.
I saw rb brooks playing going down in waukegan Illinois did a Hendrik's beg, and Stevie Ray finish if its on video I would like to know where it was truly awesome
Hey, Natasha...seems we have a similar taste in music as we have seen a lot of the same artists. I hope to meet you at a show someday to say hi! Thanks for all the great videos!
