I just bought one and it rolls just fine but I'm using it for a shooting seat next to a concrete shooting bench. not alot of rolling around is required.
I really enjoy mine. only two issues. First is the wheel issue you described. I couldn't find rugged replacement wheels to replace the M10 threaded light Euro casters so I had to make a wooden base and screw it to the bottom using the a fore mentioned M10 machine screws then I could put any wheel I want on it -works great- The other issue is I can't just plop down on it and start to work. Ya need to line yourself up on it and make a perfect one-point landing. If I'm up and down a lot it gets to be a pain, but I still love the stool. As close to a Harley I'll ever get these days. good review
How did you remove the seat from the air cylinder? Did you just pull straight up? I want to change the base so it is wider and put better casters.
Can anyone shoot me a link to buy spare casters? One of mine broke and Harbor Freight doesn’t carry them.
Same here
Same here. I was hoping someone would have answered you.

I have this stool and the casters are horrible! I've about dumped my butt onto the floor more times than I can count. Anxious to see your fix!

Wow! this video is exactly what I wanted to know about modifying a shop stool. How did you decide to do a video about shop stools?
I bought a new one because my old one didn’t suite my needs. And the new one was uncomfortable so I fixed it. Interesting process so I documented it.
Glade you did this video
good video review very insightful
