      @@silvercoloredlens I just tried it and it seems to render faster than the video option too. I'm getting about 1-1.5 minute of render time per 1 minute of video at 2k 30 FPS with a 3090. Pretty awesome. Then we have images to use too. Great idea!

    Hi, I really like this method you are teaching, but I'm having a problem with it. After I do some grading in lightroom and export the images, the animation sequence that I export from AE looks terrible. Like, it has flickering lights or something. Have you ever had that problem?

    • @silvercoloredlens
      @silvercoloredlens  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Samantha, do you have planes overlapping in your 3d model? If it's a glass plane, you could apply a glass material on it with "thickness" enabled in the parameters. Another thing might be the Frames Per Second (fps) of your d5 render scenes should match the fps of your After Effects composition settings. Hope that helps. 🙂

      try to compare the result from AE with a rendered regular mp4 output from D5 and seee if regular mp4 d5 output has flickering as well? then if it has, then the problem is the object overlaps, but if u dont have flickering in mp4, then problem is caused by colorgrading image files one by one. let me know the answer if u test it.

    hi and thanks for the video, your workflow es very interesting but I have a question, if I have a sequence of 10 seconds, and for a problem only need to render the last 3 seconds, how can configure D5 render for made this last 3 seconds and not the whole sequence?
    Thanks for your video and your time.

    • @silvercoloredlens
      @silvercoloredlens  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, thanks for your kind words. Actually, that's a good question. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think @d5render has that option wherein you can choose a specific timeframe within the 10-second duration. It could be very useful, though. 🤔

      With this exact scene, it shouldn't take you that long to render a still image. Make sure to have at least 32gb of RAM. If you want, check out D5 Render's website for more details on their system requirements: www.d5render.com/post/system-requirements-for-d5-render

    The fastest way to make these videos look better is by adding motion blur in after fx. There isnt enough motion blur for things to look real. This is why those high hz tvs ruin movies. They make the motion look weird and artificial.

    hi just wonder why you didnt do all the color tweaks in ae using adjustment layer? it seems more efficient to skip the lightroom stage. Does some of the tweaks that you used are not available in ae? 😅

    • @silvercoloredlens
      @silvercoloredlens  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question.
      For most cases, if I use After Effects directly with all the adjustments and effects applied using an adjustment layer, the render output time takes longer, and some artifacts appear. Whereas if I use Lightroom and make all adjustments from there, my rendering speed in After Effects is pretty quick and has no artifacts.
      So far, this is just based on my own experience, and I'm thinking maybe the reason is I am using an average spec laptop and not a beefy workstation. 🙂

    • @graphigo

    Quite unclear title, I was expecting something more special, Also, these are already known and doable. But not so efficient its such a destructive workflow, why would someone edit images then turn into video later on. its better to import image sequence to video editor then use video editing software to colorgrade. Title should have been how to use image editor to colorgrade videos.

      @@silvercoloredlens he means... This is the way how it's done in actual production... In studios. Never rendering a video file. A frame stack along with additional passes. So the title is wrong. "Nobody uses", while every professional uses in every workflow of animation, video in production
