Very interesting!
Best regards!
Should be fun. Nice work Joe
Thank you. Just hope it works out decent.
I really enjoyed this video Joe with You explaining along as You tore the saws down. This should be a really neat project!
Thanks for sharing it and the progress moving forward. It'd be awesome if You share some of Your porting theory as You build it.
This is different and very interesting. Thanks
Good vid Joe. The 520 was adapted to R/C aircraft a good bit. With a little work and an open exhaust it will make good power.
That would be neat to see
Joe thank you for sharing your expertise on saw building .I always pick up something!
He'll yeah love it.. just did a pioneer 450 myself but not to that extent haha just warmed it up a bit
Awesome series! looking forward to seeing the process and results.
Have you ever experimented with anti reversion exhast pipes? I remember Cyclone headers once made an automotive header with tapered cones welded to the entrance of each exhaust port header pipe. Theory was to reduce reversion. Get the exhaust out quickly...especially with these new epa saws.
Interesting project Joe. It's cool you are able to finally knock the dust off this project. There is alot to like with this build. Looking forward to the next step.
That’s an extremely interesting design on that 450 echo… I found a 4600 and I just ground out the bottom of the cylinder to take it from a side feed to a bottom feed… the intake boot is that little spring band as a clamp and I’m still trying to find a steel band clamp to lock the intake boot to the cylinder… I’m thinking that little saw should be pretty angry when I get her back together??? Fun Stuff!!! I’m definitely going to be watching for a 450 to get into!!!
Have to look for the 450p the later 450 is a true clam design I'm pretty sure.
Very cool Joe!
So cool, thanks for sharing the process!
Pretty interesting
👍👏 Fun stuff !! Thanks !
The new setup where ur working on yer saws is great
Yeah Boy!!! Awesome series!!! I absolutely love getting to watch the process of a project that you are building… great stuff! 👍😁❤️💪🤪🤪🤪👏👏👏✊🇺🇸
This looks like it’s going to be a fun build joe. Can’t wait to see more progress on this😎👍
Cool video…didn’t know that echo had a “350” type model… diggin on the mag case there…. That’s an interesting model I’ll have to put that on my list so if I come across one! Those are amazingly large intake and exhaust ports for an echo!!! Holy smokes man!!! That exhaust port is huge!!! This is a very neat builder!!! Awesome Sauce!!! Thanks!!! 👍😁
If it works good I'd like to see the comparison of the ports
I’ve had a long list of saws but a nasty 346xp is one that has eluded me. A xs346 would be perfect.
Those are Indeed nasty 346 builds too...
Thanks Joe.
👍👍👍 mantaap
Hey there joe, got thinkin last night, i have a 372xt and i run an 8 pin sprocket, u think one day you could do a comparison on the sproket size so we can see how its affected, obviously u can feel the difference but just a thought
The ratio change has to be put into the software
😁😁😁😁😁😁🤙🤙😜 love it
Nice vid .. by chance u remember what piston u did for 510
Husqvarna 254xp but had tk cut the squish and use a different rod bearing to fit the pin.
"Let me know what you guy's think"
Me: "F*CK YEAH!!!!!!"
Man almost every echo I seen tore down, My brain is like "I love how that is built" Ive added the 450 to the list now.
💪😁👍
Hey Joe, have you ever ported a CS-550P? Looks like it has removable transfer caps on the side of the cylinder but they are reed assemblies. Cylinder has the same 45mm bore as the 590/620 but uses a 35mm stroke instead of the 37.6mm. Crankcase/chassis looks the same but they use different carb/air filter/intake.
No, never seen the 550 before.
❤️🔥🇺🇸
Remember the 520 Randy built that everyone called a 346 eater? Lol it did run good though 😉
will you do porting in a chinese chainsaw?
The question is why would you want to invest money porting a low quality saw that makes it very hard for a builder to stand by his work? I mean u can spend you money however u see fit, but why start with junk and try to make jam. He may do it, I dunno. But my guess is he'd rather modify an OEM saw for a paying customer. Just my 2c

I pretty much only send my saws to one guy and he won’t fool with AM saws and very few AM parts.
I’m sure if you have money to give away you won’t have to look very hard to find someone who will take it.
No, I don't port the Chinese for customers.
I like it a lot better ...I didn't like that other place at all nooooooo newww .. now cut the squish and make some of that sweet ass HP
Easiest way to know if you have a cat muffler or not ...knock on it and if it meows it's a cat muffler .. if it barks .. well it may be a bark buster
Great fun to watch. what was wrong with the gray case? Plastic was it?
Thank you,
Nothing wrong with the gray, just the orange is tagged as 45cc

Bit of a stab at Echo at the start.. do you mean those models in particular, or are you saying all echos are not race worthy?.... What because they aren't Electrolux's?🤣
Almost. I can only think of 1-2 actual race saws built from the echo chassis. And I'm not sure how well they placed either. But going to give it a try.
@@dynojoemods2764 which 2 was that? 49-501?🤔

I have seen a piped cs8000 racer, and I think it was a piped cs550 racer from a builder out of Canada
