Enjoy watching your videos mate! Keep it up! I’m a first year electrical apprentice and thinking of the future ahead.it’s good to get an insight into how work is in the mines 👍
If you work 2 weeks on 1 off and work for a full year can you request time off for like 2-3 weeks to go on holidays? I need my thailand trips yearly haha and do you get annual leave?
Depends if your full time or casual. Full time = sick and holiday benefits. Casual = paid all benefits up front in a flat rate. So no sick or holidays. If your not at work your not getting paid...
For 2 and 1, take a swing off and you'll actually have 4 weeks off. Casual/contract you'll take it unpaid as you will normally work for an hourly rate. Full time/salary you'll just take leave, and get your normal pay. Book your time off well in advance. For times like xmas there may be a pecking order for time off so don't automatically expect to get what you want at popular times as a newby.
@@paulholmes8398 Paul sorry mate if this is a stupid question but if you work 2:1 do you get paid the 1 week off? Cause I saw someone said you do but I thought that doesn't sound right why would they pay you for a week off when you don't work unless they're a really good company 😂😂
@@trellgold6998 Hey Trell, You don't get paid for your time off. Some companies will pay your hours worked across your on cycle and off cycle especially for an equal time roster ( like a 2/2, 3/3, 1/1 or 4/4) . Some Construction jobs they pay you a special allowance that you can either bank for the end of the project or take it on your R&R. Hope that helps. Also mate the only stupid question is the one you don't ask...
