November Catfish and Sauger fishing below a Dam, Big fish on light tackle!

Sauger fishing below the dam on the Ohio river in November using live bait and jig heads can be a very rewarding, on this day i head to Mcalpine dam to target catfish and sauger but a giant catfish took the sauger bait and sent me for a wild ride, one of the biggest fish I've caught on light tackle using 10-pound braid.

That flat head made the trip, was actually there for 4 hours working and jigging, thanks for watching I may see you at Barkley or ky dam this spring going to head down there for the skip jacks run

I've been fishing the Falls of the Ohio for 5 decades in every river condition and river stage we even caught a few "hellbenders" down there..gotta be the best fishery within 500 miles of Louisville.

Nice catch. If you plan on going back soon here is some Bridge closure information: LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More lane closures are scheduled on the Sherman Minton Bridge in November and December.
The westbound lanes are scheduled to close at 10 p.m. Nov. 17 and Dec. 1, reopening at 6 a.m. the following Mondays.
The eastbound lanes are scheduled to close at 10 p.m. Dec. 8 and reopen at 5 a.m. the following Monday. The eastbound lanes will also be closed for nine days in mid-December, but no specific dates have been released yet.
