It’s so true, I’ve been cringing even just seeing mild comparisons made between her and any current popstar of the last 20 or 30 years. Even from supposed fans. I don’t see how people who have genuinely been paying attention to the oeuvre of her work can fix their mouths and hands to say that any artist is doing what she has done. These new girls need a second lifetime just to begin to scratch the surface of how phenomenal she truly is. I listened to an early interview the other day and was literally knocked back at how self aware , insightful, and driven with a keen sense of purpose, she was only in her 20’s. The loss of her mother and those early years in New York I think bestowed her with an intimate connection to just how little time we have on Earth. Madonna is a once in a lifetime artist. Like have you even heard one of these new girls try and articulate even what one of their songs are about in practical valley girl vocal fry ? Lmao it just does not compare. Every minute of her life seems to be utilized for creation and improvement.
Can we please take a moment to acknowledge the most charming and adept interviewer TV has ever known - Terry Wogan. He always aimed to bring out the best in people, see the goodness, put them at ease, as well as bringing out interesting angles on life, as if he knew so well what the viewers are curious about. There is no one like him now.
I could listen to this interview over and over. The interviewer was so kind and charming, and Madonna wasn't too "sassy," haha. It was like two actual friends talking to each other, and many interesting questions and answers were given. Definitely one of Madonna's best interviews.
I love this woman so much. Her wisdom, her way of speaking. I love that she thinks before she speaks and she is so wise with her answers. Even at 3:16 the way she corrects the interviewer about what Warren said is so genius. She knows her stuff. Adore her.
Being a big pop star, businesswoman & successful at her level in her time must've been surreal "even if knew what you were doing! Business wise , you would pinch yourself "saying? If only you knew! Folks.
Just a PHENOMENAL WOMAN! None of the girls can ever compare to her…and her MIND!

She’s so comfortable with the interviewer and engages with him in a real way. It’s very cool to see. Thanks for uploading

Yes, quite. The arrogant Michael Parkinson could have learned something from him and I'm sure Meg Ryan would agree.

The interviewer is our late broadcaster Terry Wogan. An absolute legend in the UK and sadly missed.
This might be my favourite Madonna interview ❤

she looks incredible stunning
Haven't seen that for decades. My goodness, she's just fantastic. Thank you Dan K. for remastering this material!
Love this interview.. And this look is so damn 🔥
Thank you for this edit (only the interview) love it. I had this 1 hour special on VHS tape it was broadcast by BBC 1 on 22 July 1991.

I long for the days when such interviews were still conducted. Interesting questions and the artist was given the space and time to answer properly.
Love this interview. Really got some good insight into who Madonna is as a person.
She's one the most beautiful, intelligent, talented and brilliant woman on the whole world.
"It's not like I'm running around the street without my clothes on" Lol give it 9 months, haha
😂😂😂
In 1991 they already talked about the Evita Movie, wow
I love you sooo very much Baby!!! You are the MOST BEAUTIFUL LADY I EVER SEE!!!❤❤❤
Very charming woman at this time......
Ahhh still got this taped from back then! Nice quality footage there 👍😁
Thank you for sharing ❤ love this interview, very powerful ❤
I pray to travel back in time and live there forever 🙏
Great interview! Thank you, Dan!!! ❤👏👏👏
Thank you!❤
Madonna practically invented reality television.
@ 8:48 that's a very Madonna type of answer 😂 she's uber smart, her high IQ shows in her interviews.
She's always more relax, playful and unguarded when the interviewer is a man.
She can read them like a book
Rest in Peace MJ
*fame and power are most certainly not the same thing*
❤
Rest in Peace Terry Wogan
Not her best interview but love the look here - so articulate and honest ❤
She sounds like Joan Collins here.

I remember my girl like this ❤ the nineties 🎉
She could still be this beautiful. Emperor's new clothes. Urban teenagers giving bad advice to a 70 year old. Enough madonna.
Was this when she was British?
No . She became British in early 2000' s
@@johnnyoxigen could’ve fooled me lmao
