KC-area restaurant franchise changes tipping policy for staff

- A restaurant franchise with locations on both sides of the state line has been in hot water on social media after news surfaced of a change to its tipping policy.
As a server this is wrong!!! That adds up and servers LIVE off their tips. I have lost ALL respect for twin peaks.
Consumers can let the owners know how much they don't like this policy by not supporting the business.
That's wage theft. It is the restaurant's responsibility to pay for business expenses. That should be deducted from the business's profits or possibly added to the customer's bill.
Quit immediately.

All of them should walk out!! Strippers make more and all cash!!
They are already the lowest paid hourly employees in the country, and now the slime owners are finding new ways to dump business costs on them...Guarantee you there is no profit sharing for the employees...Try running your restaurants with no wait staff and see how much your costs rise...
Typical corporate scumbags, screw the employees while management pays themselves big $$$ and bonus's...They should ban the use of credit cards if the costs are too high for them...I am sure the ATM they are installing will generate considerable fees that will go straight into the owners pockets...
Lazy company. Pay your workers a decent wage of living and stop putting it off on the patron.
That is wrong to do to servers. Period. Fellow consumers DO NOT LEAVE TIPS TO CREDIT CARDS MAKE SURE YOU TIP YOUR SERVERS CASH!

This actually makes sense. The restaurant cant eat the cc fees for tips.
Yes they can pay their costs of doing business
I always tip with cash. That way, it's up to the server. If they want to claim it on their taxes or not.
Then the customer will be charged a fee if have to take money out of ATM....DUH......
Credit card machine costs is a cost of doing business. Next will they be taking toilet paper fees?
And start taking cash with you because if you use ATM NOT FROM YOUR BANK YOU WILL BE CHARGED DOUBLE ONE FOR NON USE OF BANK ATM AND TWO USING THEIR SERVICE ATM ESTABLISHMENTS.
So..who wants to be a stripper? May be your thing but not most or mine.
This happens at many restaurants, not just one.
It not the whole bill, just the tip.
So that makes stealing part of the tip okay?!?
