Many of the aftermarket custom bumper manufacturers are producing designs with too much forward protrusion. Yours is absolutely perfect. Looks good. I'm currently thinking through a design for my '71 Ford highboy.
That is a badass bumper. Im gonna attempt this when i get laid off for winter.
Just for some info so you can save weight the housing with the free spool lever on the winch can be rotated so the rollers will bolt where the winch mounts are at the front. So it all bolts up with 4 bolst at the front. Its how we do it with most our bull bars in aus

I ran my extra ground from the passenger bat to the alternator mounting top bolt manily due to Mean green Machine called for an extra ground to the Mean Green! I also ran one right from the nagar I’ve post on the passenger bat to the fender behind the battery! But I build Big 3 upgraded cable kits for any vehicles but my dodge got a bad ass kit with 2/0 and 3/0 #2 and #4 all Exclene welding cable! My stereo sounds so way better not to mention no more issues!
bro that is a sick ass job, looks like something bought right off the shelf but I am sure cheaper since you did everything yourself. Would be cool if you did a flush mount block heater outlet like you did that plug for the winch.

The reason I haven't bought a plate bumper is like you said, dinner table. The lines and attention to detail look like it's something dodge could have offered as an oem+ option. I think the only things id change myself are (a) simple cover for the opening in the top, and (b) flush mount led cubes. Again thats just if I were building one for me, not at all a knock on your build. Definitely just inspired me to have something similar built.

We should do some trades some money off on a bumper trades fir a Big 3 full cable kit. And I’ve been told my kits blow custom cable kits out of the water! Either way your vids are great and much appreciated!
that looks awesome. I would go with synthetic winch rope and a Hawse Fairlead just because I think it looks cleaner. and maybe some grille/headlight protection. you do awesome work. thanks for sharing.

Impressive build your fabrication skills are amazing first time I've seen your channel so I'm subscribed now this bumper is the only one I've seen that handles the build this way my only question is did you seal the remote unit or does it even need to be sealed to keep water and condensation out

much better than the bumper i built for my 02 Chevy, i just took a peice of 10" tall 3/8s wall C channel, bent it around the front end and cut it on an angle before the wheels to get it to get the tire clearance. but now that i see that, I'm questioning my creativity.

it's really good, you should hook up with a local powder coder for projects like this because I'm sure you'll have more. You bring a more work they'll probably give you a discount

One of the best bumpers I have seen, it’s nice and tight and doesn’t stick out like most. How many hours do you have in it for build time minus paint? Also selling it as a DIY weld kit would be a cool product to buy. Did you have to tweak it any after final welding it? Nice job bud it looks awesome.

So just curious what do you use to cut your plate at angles are using a plasma cutter or a side grinder with a cutting wheel
i saw in one of your other vids a sanding drum attached to your angle grinder assuming for tube coping etc... how to i find that attachment to put the drum on the grinder?
