Hello Dawn, from the central valley! So rare for me to see another so passionate about preserving and enjoying vintage costume jewelry. I also have loved the collector books on vintage jewelry and I believe I have a copy of every one that has been printed, going back to Jeanne Bell in 1978. That's how I educated myself WAY before the internet! You have many beautiful pieces... Looking at someone else's collection and hearing about what they know is the best! Sooo good! I planned for years to do my own collector guide on my favorite pieces but the economy hit hard about that time in 2008. Also, a lot of younger jewelry collectors have never seen the older, quality pieces as they have been in private collections for decades. Thanks for sharing your treasures, time and knowledge! 🥰

I’m happy to see Monet’s resell value climbing back up. I have always thought their quality was top notch. I just sold an AMAZING 80s Monet medallion omega necklace. Someone tried to lowball me, so I raised the price and they bought it. I miss it already, but I just wasn’t wearing her so it was time. 💙
That RIK RAK zig-zaggy necklace is the bomb! It would be a GREAT everyday, go-to staple necklace! LOVE it! Question: Dawn I once wore a vermeil piece daily, and the fine layer of gold just disappeared. Do you recommend that vermeil NOT be worn daily? Thanks!

Hi! I hink it depends on how many microns of gold are used. For instance, QVC gold plating is not the same as Gucci watch gold plating
Did Monet mark their Gold over Sterling in any way?
Not always!!! The ones out of Mexico yes but not always when it was made in the U.S. :)
