The kind of radios that were finding their way into Oz all those years ago compared to the kind of radios I used to regularly see here in the UK back in the day are quite different. I like your vids coz I often get to see gems like this one that I've never seen before ... Super nice radio mate.
I think it is one of the best made, and laid out designs radios there is. I have 2 versions of the 23 ch ones, but the newer one has the capability for extra channels, but i haven't messed with it, Why would I- have Plenty of other radios to talk on- LOL. Thanks for the video. 21 South Carolina, Old Radio Night
Now that's a radio.. Yes I agree put it back to standard, the S meter is very like the one on my JC Penney or a Sears slant face. ... Lovely looking yoke
It's true. This was before all of the stuff was built in or factory built/available. I modified my helmet to have a mic and speaker. A PTT was mounted on the left handlebar.
The PA is Not a minus ITs a PLUS if you can hear cb on it (RX mode) bc The pa amp is much more Powerful than the cb audio amp circuit, This MEANs the Noise Ratio Goes Down (much Lower Noise if Volume very Carefully adjusted and used with audio attenuator on ext speaker, for example. So, Plug An External Speaker INTO the PA jack INSTEAD of the Ext.SP jack....and ..WOW! Hear cb Audio come ALIVE! (Only, don't forget to put a heavy duty Attenuator in line with Ext.SP ,else if you turn volume up past 8 o, clock position you Risk blowing your speaker out if it's not rated for 20 watts or more.

I had one converted to 10 meters and had a lot of fun with it in the mobile.
