  • Happy new year’s eve!I hope you guys are having a grand time. Here’s the last video upload for 2023. As the year comes to a close, I thought I would reflect on how working in the operating room as a nurse these past few years have impacted my life somehow and what this career has contributed to it. This was a great year for me, but it does feel like prelude for all the blessings and great adventures that 2024 has in store. Wishing you all a prosperous year ahead! See you next year ;) ilyyyy - B 🤍

Hey Bella, I am currently a new graduate nurse. I was wondering what steps you personally took to getting into the OR as an RN? Also are there any tips or words of advice that I can do to get my foot in the OR as a new graduate nurse?

Hiii! I am currently a nursing student, and I was wondering if an OR nurse gets to "participate" in the surgery. I know that some nurses scrub in and help with supplies but do you get to be more hands on with the surgery?! Also, are you always paired up with other nurses? It seems like you always have fun in the OR :)))

Hi! To an extent, yes, and as long as it’s not outside our scope of practice. Sometimes the surgeons need extra hands to help retract or hold instruments for them. Or they might ask you to help out with the dressings.
Not always with a nurse, but also with a scrub tech. And yes I do have fun in the OR 😌

Beautiful, do you know about the anesthesiologist assistant and anesthesia technologist? They anesthetize the patient and prepare him for surgery. I am an anesthesia technologist and this is my job. I hope you have met someone like us before. I wish you a happy day.💚🌝💐

Of course! Anesthesia techs/assistants are also a vital part of these procedures, and I’ve met a lot of amazing ones. Thank you! 🤗
