GRWM Elf Soft Glam Foundation compared to Elf Flawless Satin Foundation

- I LOVE the old elf Flawless Finish Foundation. The satin finish, the blurring, the long wear time. It's stunning on my mature, oily skin.
When I saw the announcement for the new one, I had mixed feelings. I've been burned by reformulations before. But maybe they just repackaged it.
So I asked them on Instagram. And elf actually answered! Not a repackage, a completely new product.
So I bought it, tested it, and then put it head-to-head with my beloved Flawless Finish Foundation.

I’m so glad you’re comparing two different forms of foundation from the same brand . This is honestly the first time I’ve seen this kind of content & it’s very helpful because I love Elf !!

I'm also mature, oily skinned and I was so glad to find your video. I've never come across one before that addresses my skin type, so thank you very much for doing this.
I loved the side by side comparison & the color match seemed spot on. I do agree with you that from the start of you day until the end, there really isn't a difference, except I did notice the more blurred effect on the side with the new one. I will definitely be ordering this.

I'm so glad it was helpful. Seems like almost everyone assumes when you reach 50, your skin just dries up like the desert. It can be hard to find creators with mature, oily skin. I hope you love it as much as I do!
I'm going to use my original satin and then try the Soft Glam. Not enough difference to buy before I use what I already have. Love Elf products.

I've seen mixed reviews on dry skin. Make sure you prep and hydrate really well. And report back how it works for you, please.

Hey Tina. Well you know it did not work for me. My skin is very dry and the foundation made my face even drier and it was cakey and settled into my fine lines. So for my very dry mature skin it is a no go. Glad it worked for you.
I don't remember, can you wear either of the Camo foundations? I can't wear those at all. There are few foundations that I put on and immediately want to take off, but those are 2 of them.
So it seems the claim of 'good for all skin types' might be a bit optimistic for this one.

I love both of them. I've been wearing the new one in shade 20 light cool for several days and it's performing beautifully. I'm almost 59 and both of the foundations work for me. I'm not a fan of the camo foundation, but I bought it so I'll use it lol.
I passed the camo on to a friend. I only have about 3 foundations that were so bad that I washed my face and started over. The 2 elf camo foundations fill 2 of those slots. But I love both of these.
I don't know what color to get in the foundation
What shade are you in your favorite foundation? Do you feel you are an, cool, or neutral undertones?
I tried both 25 which was way too light so I tried 30 the next one up and it was too dark I will, stick with my Sephora in 27 which is a perfect match. I am 75 and was olive tone when I was younger but now I am a light olive their colors are not too great
