I saw a video of a guy saying that something that ppl forget about when voting for presidents (which truthfully I don’t think I ever thought about before until I saw the video) is the cabinet, when you’re voting for the president you’re also somewhat voting for the ppl the president will put to represent, no president is perfect, but Biden’s cabinet is incredibly diverse (from what we’ve previously have had & that’s a good thing), to move forward, for someone like Pete to say our infrastructure is/was built on racism is an incredible moment of acknowledging hey how can we move forward and better with knowing what’s been done before
And they are also Team Members who may not all have the same idea, but work together for the good of the people and not themselves.
His cabinet hasn't been very good either. Can you remind me who is doing great job? Pete? No. When you know who the Secretary of Transportation is, they aren't doing a good job. Kamala? No. One of main jobs was the border and that has been a mess. Again, who is doing great job and should keep it?

I really enjoyed his first book, and I always wondered when he would write another. It’s been a quarter century, and he probably doesn’t have as much insider stuff (from his own personal experiences at least) in this one, but also looking forward to it.
We all want to be in "the room" when it's happening. This book sounds fascinating!!

They do, actually. Books, movies, etc. get released to certain people well in advance of the public release for review purposes. Do you ever wonder how movies talk about the critical Acclaim they received even though they are releasing same day? That’s because certain individuals get a pre-screening of this so they can give their opinion.
As far as the panel reading his book? I’m willing to bet they probably get highlights from it versus them actually reading the full book. But that’s just my guess.

@@MOTU_CTR It was more about the timing of the release. It should have been done under Carter's watch but according to several sources, Reagan's people negotiated a deal with Iran to delay the release until after the election so Carter wouldn't get credit and improve his re-election chances.

President Carter was unable to diplomatically resolve the crisis, and the April 1980 hostage rescue attempt ended in disaster. Three months later, the former shah died of cancer in Egypt, but the crisis continued. In November, Carter lost the presidential election to Republican Ronald Reagan, and soon after, with the assistance of Algerian intermediaries, successful negotiations began between the United States and Iran. On the day of Reagan’s inauguration, January 20, 1981, the United States freed almost $8 billion in frozen Iranian assets, and the 52 hostages were released after 444 days. The next day, Jimmy Carter flew to West Germany to greet the Americans on their way home.
