Just like Double-Wide Blues, Todd tells stories of real people. Lotta ppl laughed at TomWaits, thinking he was mocking poor people. Nope. Just tellin the story. The good, the bad and the ugly. Find Todd singing Waco Moon, about Billie Joe Shaver's son. POW, right between the eyes.
Well Hank Williams Sr. was quoted as saying. "a good song don't care who sings it"" but if you like this then you ought to look up the guy who wrote it Billy Joe Shaffer sometime titled Ragged Old Truck and sometimes Thinking Bout Crankin' you'll be glad you did MyDaMnWoRd 😬 🔫
Mr. Shaver came to our little podunk Kentucky town a couple of years ago, just to have surgery by his family doctor. The newspaper wrote an article on him and he was overwhelmed I'm sure by how many people sent him flowers or a card just to let him know how loved he was. I really didn't "connect" who he was until Shaver, his son's rock group, came out with Georgia On A Fast Train - that set the hook very well! It's a shame his son isn't still rocking like the old days. Peace!

Double Wide.....
That add about community educators sucks.......bring on the todd.
Great voice. Great musician. Great guy. But doesn't have the raw emotion Billy Joe did. You can tell Billy lived it.
