Love the video man and glad you love the sub! One thing is the box - the reason why it doesn’t fit is because that’s not the right box for that sub as the airspace is .5 cube less than it needs to be. That box is good for Down4sound subs up to the dbz level currently. For stage 2 you need our Down4sound HD3 12” pro fab box- extra heavy duty and correct airspace / tuning for a sub like the Dvx and up 😊
When he closed the trunk that spider was fighting for his life to get away 😂. I’m so pumped to see this. I have the same sub but just haven’t wired it up yet.
To reduce vibration on the amp, only use 3 screws to attach on the box edges. Not the middle area of the panel that flexes. Then add small spacers under those 3 screws. Rubber spacers are best. Ideally, mount amp separately.
@@JasonWW2000 very good call! I am planning to take the amp off this coming weekend and hide it underneath the cover used for extra storage. Should be much better!
Sounds absolutely crazy, please keep more videos about the dvx 12 coming. I’ve been waiting for a review like this. I think I’m sold now😂 I have the exact box that matches the specs down4sound recommends for that sub!
for your next box, should really get a good quality subwoofer box terminal, and a subwoofer gasket around the rim for a better seal. Also, I would recommend to terminate the ends of the speaker and power cables with high quality copper, and heat shrink tubes.
@@MariusWeberYT can’t wait man! I’ll be waiting for that video! I saw your other video where you had that black sundown 12. Is the dvx 12 louder than that sub? If so by how much?
@ awesome! Yes the DVX is substantially louder. I would say close to 60% more. Especially the low frequencies are insane. Very impressive to be honest!
@ Yes I just watched your kicker video. Nice Benz btw and set-up looks very clean 😎 It will definitely be much louder. High’s are also great 40-50 gets your chest. Lmao.
@@robsgamess5423 yes stay tuned! I will definitely be upgrading the box and amp. I spend 2 hours last night tuning the current amp and will be posting another video. It performs incredibly well but certainly needs a bigger AMP and box. That box is about to explode lol 😂
Sounds like it has a very high FS, low FS subs better. That's what I hate about subwoofers today, subs shouldn't have an FS above 30hz in my opinion. That's why I loved old school subs like JL that had FS's In the low 20hz range.

@ building the box tuned for that subwoofer. There are specifications to the box that is for each subwoofer and rated power and so much more when it comes to wiring the subwoofer as well to get the best performance out of that subwoofer. Hope that helped you bud
@cmosdaboss I'm trying to help you two fellas out. Things are not so black and white. You can't just go by "specs" assuming it's the best. The recommended enclosure size and tuning is just that, a recommendation. If you are a competition spl person you tune it one way. If you want your music to sound it's best you tune a different way. I large vehicle is going to need a different tune than a smaller vehicle, etc... There's no right or wrong. You learn this with experience. 👍

Box & Amp
To open this sub up you need a bigger box and more power but thank you for sharing D4S brand

Yeah. Thanks for sharing. Since no one else seems to simp for D4S, especially big d wiz. Nice

Need to get ya a box for that sub tuned for like 30-34hz much bigger and little…. Lots more power
@thelifeofprice got these right, the DVX is absolutely gorgeous, i cant wait to swap my U15 for one of these......

first review i seen
Definitely need some sound mat, all the rattling noise not good for listening. You will notice a big difference after sound mat. For sure 👍🏾
Yes most definitely on the list of things I need to add 😂 The Tesla is rattling all over the place lol
that dvx looks like Sundown audio x12
Change your vid title to Down4Sound 12" subwoofer in an electric car flexing the trunk 😃👍💯 I love the vid and enjoyed.
Haha thank you 😂 I appreciate you watching!
Hows the sound quality of it?
Incredible. The low frequencies 20-32hz are just amazing 🤩

Sweet!!
How much watts was it running in the video?
The AMP is rates for 1750W RMS. However, I just got through tuning it. Will be posting another video soon. 😎👍🏻
