Downsizing should not be a stigma. Downsizing to something much lower will help you in the long run. Besides your mom is with you and she won't mind having her own room and bathroom, since you can find a house that has a bathroom connected to the master bedroom and she can share with the kids. The twins can bunk together and the new baby can have her own room. You can sell all the things you never use and only keep what you use. You can also find a place close to their school and a park. I live next to a beautiful river. Also, paid cash for my house. Maybe consider another state. Praying for you guys. When my family and I were between homes, we rented a RV camper for a few weeks and just lived in it, until we found our current home. We put everything we had into storage and only keep a few weeks of clothes and our toiletries with us. It might be something fun to do for the whole family, without having to sleep on the ground. It's just something new for you to consider, until you and Preston can find a rental home. Sending you and your family my love and supportive, positive energy.

Staying in California is costly, and leaving this state, if with employment is not too awful. I know, many people that have been on the market since Christmas, and those are usually the one's that will more than likely take a lower bid. The market is high or in prime season, during the summer. Those in true need to sell out is December or winter. That is just from people that sell property and do multi listings for real estate. Good Luck with your hunt! You two are great parents and devoted in keeping your children happy.

We are seeing insane increases in NC but homes are definitely more affordable here and you get lots of square footage. Here in Tennessee the market is exact same. I know here, there are certain hotels that rent “apartment type” spaces but just month to month, at a competitive rate- but, those rates were before Covid. There’s also month to month apartment complexes here that are 100% furnished down to the linens, dishes, pots & pans, etc.. for people in these situations . I wonder if there are anything like that there? I sold my house 5 years ago, put some things in storage, & rented month to month an Extended Stay Hotel. of course I was (and still am) still working., that way I looked around about a year til I found my Villa to buy. Or, if anyone has like a “mother n law” separate smaller house on their property to rent out- these rent much cheaper than rental houses.. Good luck! Edit: Forgot to mention; these hotels are completely furnished, and what you pay month to month- is a flat rate like here maybe $950/ month , and it includes everything- no utilities, free WiFi, cable, phone, parking . No lease to sign and safe

You should come to Tampa Florida. I’m sure you would find something and have the beach and amusement parks nearby. You can also buy a duplex and rent the other unit for income.

Move to Arizona! Its Beautiful here! The housing market is going up here, but (for now) there are still affordable homes available and land too. People are moving here from Cali because its still affordable, but there are also "investors" buying up everything and jacking up the prices.

We live in Colorado and our housing market is the same. We were tempted to sell but we just didn’t want to get into a bidding fight for another home so we are sitting tight in our home for awhile longer. We will probably end up building a home. I feel so bad for you all though! I know how hard this decision had to be with twins and a new baby on way. Hire a moving service ASAP cuz they are probably booked a couple weeks out. Also ask friends and family to come help u all pack! Make a party out of it and buy some pizza🙂Then just stay in a cheap apartment while you guys come up with a plan. So literally had 30 days to find another place with 3 kids and a father in law. Could only afford a 2 bedroom. So that’s 6 people in a 2 bedroom during pandemic. Now we are ready to buy but market is ridiculous. We were looking from January to May and put several offers 80 thousand over asking and were out bidded. Now we are stuck because rent is even night now. So I feel you. Praying for your family.

Buy a motor home or camper trailer to live in, until the market goes down. You can move to another state California is way to expensive. Move to the country, like Tennessee, Kentucky etc.. Great places to raise your children, without having to pay so much where your at now. You can sell the motor home after you find your home. Good luck

I hope everything falls into place for you when the timing is right...hang in there in the meantime. I agree with others about the prices in CA being exorbitant, especially for housing. We are seeing insane increases in NC but homes are definitely more affordable here and you get lots of square footage. I'm not sure about the rental market but I can only imagine how frustrating that is especially when most of us in America are all on budgets! Not sure where you will land but lots of us are cheering for you and know it will work out.

Here in Tennessee the market is exact same. I know here, there are certain hotels that rent “apartment type” spaces but just month to month, at a competitive rate- but, those rates were before Covid. There’s also month to month apartment complexes here that are 100% furnished down to the linens, dishes, pots & pans, etc.. for people in these situations . I wonder if there are anything like that there? I sold my house 5 years ago, put some things in storage, & rented month to month an Extended Stay Hotel. of course I was (and still am) still working., that way I looked around about a year til I found my Villa to buy.
Or, if anyone has like a “mother n law” separate smaller house on their property to rent out- these rent much cheaper than rental houses.. Good luck!
Edit: Forgot to mention; these hotels are completely furnished, and what you pay month to month- is a flat rate like here maybe $950/ month , and it includes everything- no utilities, free WiFi, cable, phone, parking . No lease to sign and safe

The market is pretty much the same everywhere. Im on the East coast and it's horrible to buy, or rent. Just do whatever U can for now.. and PRAY for a better situation to relocate. Keep your head up.. and a smile on your face. WE will ALL get through THIS! 😊💪🏾😇

You should come to Tampa Florida. I’m sure you would find something and have the beach and amusement parks nearby. You can also buy a duplex and rent the other unit for income.
It might be a depressing, stressful time, but just keep focused on the end goal and some sort of new normality will form and things will get easier, as Preston said it won't be like that forever (many words spoken by Preston 🤣), and u have all your fans support aswell ❤

Move to Arizona! Its Beautiful here! The housing market is going up here, but (for now) there are still affordable homes available and land too. People are moving here from Cali because its still affordable, but there are also "investors" buying up everything and jacking up the prices.

We live in Colorado and our housing market is the same. We were tempted to sell but we just didn’t want to get into a bidding fight for another home so we are sitting tight in our home for awhile longer. We will probably end up building a home. I feel so bad for you all though! I know how hard this decision had to be with twins and a new baby on way. Hire a moving service ASAP cuz they are probably booked a couple weeks out. Also ask friends and family to come help u all pack! Make a party out of it and buy some pizza🙂Then just stay in a cheap apartment while you guys come up with a plan. I agree that possibly moving to a different state would be best. I wish u all the very best!!! God will always take care of you!

Thanks for sharing and being so real and relatable. Our family is going through a tough situation also. In March 2020 we had to move because they sold out 3 bedroom condo. So literally had 30 days to find another place with 3 kids and a father in law. Could only afford a 2 bedroom. So that’s 6 people in a 2 bedroom during pandemic. Now we are ready to buy but market is ridiculous. We were looking from January to May and put several offers 80 thousand over asking and were out bidded. Now we are stuck because rent is even night now. So I feel you. Praying for your family.

Buy a motor home or camper trailer to live in, until the market goes down. You can move to another state California is way to expensive. Move to the country, like Tennessee, Kentucky etc.. Great places to raise your children, without having to pay so much where your at now. You can sell the motor home after you find your home. Good luck

If the show doesn’t pick back up I suggest living in Texas. It’s cheaper and there are nicer homes for less. You can start over and nothing is wrong with that
