Holy cow, this footage is off the charts! I watched Misha's last night and it was mind-blowing. I can't believe I get to see this lap from your POV too. What an exhilarating and incredible ride, guys! It's easy to go fast in new cars, but driving these cars fast and on the edge is so much more thrilling and the skill shows.
Robin's lap felt much much more relaxed than Misha's. The gearing was more suitable. Misha was working very hard to keep up. Epic battle regardless.

I had a’92 Integra that I learned to drive on some track days. Had H&R springs that mimicked Integra Type R stock rates, and tokiko 5 way struts, poly bushings. Driving instructor said it was really neutral for a fwd car.

100%. I have an EP3 Type R and just returned from a night time country lane drive. To say it was engaging and exhilarating is an understatement. I’ve driven much more powerful modern hatches and coupes but not many come close to the feeling you get from a light high revving naturally aspirated car

This lap was smoother than Mishas driving. It felt like he had to drive the shit out of the car.
Even if your car is slightly faster it's still impressive given how many hours Misha puts down at the ring each year.
Valid but Misha is also going from an awd bmw to a rwd camaro to a fwd civic lol nobody will know someone else's car as good as they would their own
He also had to drag along a tall passenger!

This car is so much tighter in everyway than what Misha was driving, however, the skill it took for Misha to keep up is quite notable 😂😂 obviously.
Awesome drive! He looked like he was working his ass off to keep up, and I expected to see the same from your perspective. Only to see that the whole run was insanely smooth and with an awesome line. Great drive!
I completely agree, Misha was having to wring the neck off the other car.

Mate to make Misha work to keep up with you in his proving ground takes some doing AND in a car that needs to be driven on the edge to go fast. All the while being respectful of others and track etiquette, Much respect to you!

Watching your perspective and seeing you have possibly a bit more to get out of the car really puts into perspective just how much Misha was absolutely SENDING IT 😂. Great lap and great car.

I saw the other video with the red Honda and was actually wondering who was sending that black Hondiggity Misha was chasing. I'm glad you posted this video and nice driving. Hearing that motor scream angrily brought back memories of the Integra Type R in the original Gran Tourismo! Kudos

I had a ‘92 Integra that I used GT to help me tune - suspension for, it worked!
You Sir made that look easy compared to misha. Goes to show what skill and a proper sorted chassis can do. great driving.
There was still a lot more to put in that lap! But was my 7th lap or so that weekend with the new setup.. Still had to get used a little but and get the trust back after some weeks off track..
Impressively smooth. In Mishas video, it was obvious that you were lightning fast, and from your POV it just looks like your headed to the grocery store. Great driving.

All said, I say you drove, very very well. Even with a slightly better power to weight ratio, to stay in front of Misha takes some doing. You are a ace pilot.
B is so different then a K series. The Powerband is better then my B. Anyways, it was a nice one, cheers mate!
When I was watching Misha’s upload of this lap, I was constantly thinking to myself…. “This guy ahead, Knows His lines!” 😁
If it wasn’t for traffic, I genuinely feel You in this older (but incredibly cool civic) would have gapped Him even more!

(One thing I will say from a TH-cam standpoint though…..Get yourself a rear facing Go-Pro, as seeing Misha trying to run you down from that perspective would have been GOLDEN!) ✌️

Seeing how well the car is set up, how well you're able to lean into your Civic shows off you and your car's amazing capability. It also, however shows off how monstrous Misha was. He had a passenger in car that was much heavier and still managed to keep up. Personally I think all of you are insane, but that's just a testament to both of your skills as drivers, I'll definitely keep watching your onboards.
Misha was driving a car that weighs 700 lbs more and had a passenger. I have both cars an EF hatch with a B series and an EP3 with a full K20Z3 swap 6 speed LSD with Hondata. The EF hatch is a monster in the twisties.

It's cool you can see Misha in your helmets reflection.
This car has a better setup for the ring. While misha was constantly fighting what seems like too stiff dampers causing the car to bounce and lose grip. Makes the drive seem very "violent" as he struggles to stop any slides, causes scraping and puts unnecessary heat in the tires causing the lockups at the end of his run. Great build and great driving!
He still had to get used to the car! But was a tough ride. I had a few more laps then him already completed 😛.
there are no unnecessary moves from you... super driving with zero stress, zero overdriving... I enyoj it.

Hey, cool lap. The focal lenght of your camera made the all thing look slow (i know from misha video that it wasn’t). If you have an option on your camera gear to use wider field of view with a wider lens, it will make the all thing much more exciting. Maybe try a slower shutter speed to gain some Motion blur too… Have a nice day

There is a sticker in the car who says TCT Performance, maybe those are the one who tuned it.

@@enfantterrible4868 EP3 is also not that capable of what many people believe. The 4th to 6th gen civics with their double wishbone suspension all around and lower center of gravity gives them a huge plus.

@@future62 weight is not the factor, especially if the suspension is able to handle them when going downwards. In this case you saw that the suspension of an EP3 is not able to handle IT.

Sounds great, glad you stayed with a B. Technically the K is better, but I prefer how a B sounds and feels. Thats why I went B20 instead of K20.

Awesome video. Curious of the suspension setup?? Looks like it handles well. I've built an EF that I autocross and plan to start tracking later this year. Steering \ Front suspension feels weird compared to the DC integra I used to drive.
