Back in 2021 I ordered the Peace dollar only, I got three of them, sold two, made all my money back and kept the last one, sent to PCGS and got 70! I still have it. It’s an absolutely beautiful coin.!
This is a great story- well done! A lot of collectors only wanted the Peace dollar from the set. Glad you got the MS70 as well. Great coin to admire in the collection😊
I only kept one of the 2021 Peace dollars and sold the rest of the Morgan and Peace dollars that I had purchased. Very happy to see the values doing so well, especially for the Peace dollar. Also, and you probably know, but these were not done as part of the commemorative program or bullion. These are numismatic coins. But, of course, not exactly the same as the original for sure. Thanks for the video. Cheers!

I have NGC 70 in all grades except the O Privy I have in MS69 and the D I never bought from the Mint. I have about 5 CC MS70's and 4 MS69. 4 Peace Dollars 2 each MS69 and MS70.. I have 4 reverse proof Silver Eagles sets. 2 ungraded and 2 graded through NGC both T1's PF69 and T2's PF70.. 2021 was a epic year from the mint.. Did you get the flowing hair Silver medal?
Wow, you have a lot of coins there my friend! I have two complete sets of the 2021 Morgan/Peace- one set graded and one raw. The RP Eagles- one set graded and two sets raw...those coins just never did anything but they are nice coins. I'll vent to you about the Flowing Hair.......they might as well called that Vault Box 2.0. This whole coin gambling thing isn't my bag. I love that the US Mint is getting with the times and releasing a privy. I rather they put a privy on a real coin like the ASE each year and do a limited mintage- everyone gets a shot at buying. That's my take.
@@SilverWolverine95 No- the only US Mint purchases I will make this year are the Morgan/Peace. That's only because I feel like I need to going with the series. If the Mint has a 2025 release I might not keep going- it's costly as you know.
My favorite coin to collect is the Morgan silver dollar but not the new ones, can you show us an update on your Morgan collection. I remember seeing your video on the cc collection how’s that doing. Love that
Still have the CC collection! I've traded a few coins in and out of the collection since posting that video. Just because of the video length- haven't shown all my CC's in the same video, just my top coins. Perhaps I can put a video like that together but it would be a long one.
G'day Silver Struck, a very interesting and informative commentary, you have a choice collection of top graded Morgan & Peace Dollars, what a huge uplift in value in only 3 years, I think the US Mint did a great job with these coins, thank you for sharing another part of your amazing collection. Cheers Peter J 😂👋🔥💪🇦🇺 🐨🦘👍
Thank you PeterJ! The strike of the coins is top notch. The US mint did have some QC issues to deal with at the time but most of the coins I picked up are good. Glad to see a good upside for once from a modern coin pick up!
Great topic my friend! I liked the 2021, thought they were worthwhile. Interested to hear how they've aged... Big upside! I had managed to get 4 of the 6, but several of each and flipped them all for a decent 2x - 3x for them raw. Wish I'd of completed the set and kept it honestly. You got some great grades on these man! Beautiful Coins man, you've got such a great collection! Looks like an error to me man! Great video, enjoyed seeing your' set!
If I remember correctly you had a bunch of the CC privy. You just never know with the US mint stuff- sometimes the stuff is hot and then sometimes not so much. Happy with the grades- except that D but I saw that coming, lol!
Nice collection of the modern Morgans and a Peace dollar. While I am a big fan of classic Morgans and have many of them, I just couldn't get in to the modern ones myself.
You are not alone in that line of thinking GD! The classic ones are clearly the best, bag marks and all. Thank you for checking out this video my friend!
I forgot to mention the buying problems with the US Mint at the time in the video! Most Mint coins I buy do not go up in value this well, so it's nice to win one, lol!
Hey SS 👍, I hope all is well. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to acquire all the different privy marks back when the Morgans came out. But I did by a couple of each of the PDS . I actually sold one of my Peace Dollars to Sherrie for a really nice profit 📈 There was one of her customers looking to purchase one, so she actually asked me what I wanted for it.
Nothing wrong with making some money BA! At the time, the Mint site was not the easiest to deal with- crashed all the time. Many people just gave up trying to buy the Morgans altogether.
As a stacker from England it was a Morgan dollar that stated me stacking 4 year's ago my dad gave it to me great video sir take care and happy stacking from English Dave 😀

Many have not continued with the series- in part because the Mint dropped the ball in 2022 and none where released! I think the excitement was gone after that.
Yes, I prefer PCGS over the rest of the graders. These grading companies all have different specialty's- ANACS is the only grading company that will grade my proof Prospectors, so I use them for those. I like NGC, so I have NGC graded coins as well but mostly for Ancient/shipwreck coins. PCGS is great for the older US coins, Morgans, etc.
Awesome showcasing. Looks like your silver dollars are serving you well. My Kennedy set (which I thought was going to be hot) has been a total flop and only fetch Issue price).
Hey CCT! Sorry to hear about that Kennedy set. The 2021 Morgans have done great but not other coins from that same time period. Who would have thought the first RP type two would not have increase in value by now?
I have multiples of most ( Including 2 Denver's). Wasn't able to pick up a CC due to the ordering fiasco that day. They all raw and have never been graded. Thinking of selling them all soon. Thanks for this video
@@silverstormienormie6146 Well- it's a gamble. If one or both coins come back a MS70 it will be worth it, imo. Check out what the 2021 D is going for in MS70 on Ebay- good money.
Good stuff, super topical. Of course the 2021-D graded a 69! I got several of each but flipped most of them quickly. Still have a few raw examples of the O, CC, and Peace.
Pretty typical man, those Denvers, lol! I ended up with 6 O's so I did flip three total but still have the rest. 2021 was a fun year- not like the US Mint in 2024, imo
Hey Jerry! I get that questions a lot. No- I didn't pick up the Flowing Hair metal. I Thought about it but wasn't compelled to pull the trigger on one.
So, buying from the mint is not the same as buying an MS70 graded set. I didn't watch the entire video, but what did the graded set sell for 3 years ago? You can still buy them ungraded today for about the same price as 3 years ago, while silver has gone up.
It was way less money to buy them ungraded at the time and then send the coins in for grading, so that's what I did. After reading your comment, I checked out completed sales of the 6 coin set (ungraded) and found most of the completed sales are from 995-1,100- roughly double what they went for in 2021. So, I don't know what research you did but if you can buy this set ungraded for 510.00 I would do so asap. Perhaps you just looked at individual coins and not the set. Having a complete set increases the value in most cases.
You showed the mint price then vs graded prices now. I'm just saying you skipped some steps. Either someone paid for a graded coin or they would pay the grading fees, shipping, and maybe ebay fees, etc.
@@E-w1z Yes- agreed, the missing step was explaining landed cost including grading. The reason I didn't mention what I paid for the grading is two fold- I flat out can't remember what the grading fee was I paid in 2021 and I'm sure the fee is different today. Not wanting to quote a grading fee as to mislead others was another factor. Even so, the point was is that these coins have increase greatly in value from the starting price- graded or otherwise and that is true. Having the MS70 for value is also key, so you are right to point that out as well. I do not mind being fact checked or challenged as it makes content creators think harder and do better before posting. Thank you for the conversation. I do appreciate the time you took to leave a comment and read the reply.
@SilverStruck I do agree overall and I am not an expert or trying to pick you apart. I also appreciate civilized discussion, thank you. Hey, maybe there's still an opportunity for someone to find some and pay to have them graded.
I never got into the 2021 morgan or peace unfortunately. Although I do have some of the older ones. Was cool to see that u did so well with your grades congrats. Of course that Denver had to b a thorn in your side. Whats the deal with Denver??? Those guys and gurls just showing up to work hungover every day or is it the high altitude 😂 Thanks for sharing and as always very well done vid Struck👍
LOL! Yup, Denver is a pain in this series! I have one more shot, so I may send that D in and see what happens. This set is as divided as the Country - 50% went for it and the other 50% said no way, lol.
Excellent video subject. I don't have any of them Morgan's but I did buy the reverse proof ASE set from Pirate stacker. I think i bought them for 150 but if they sold from the mint for 175 there's a chance it was actually 250. But my memory says 150. I don't remember what i had for lunch yesterday so it may not be the greatest memory. This has been my thoughts since this new flowing hair medal was released. People are paying outrageous prices for them. What will they be going for two to five years from now? Chances are high they will never get their money back out of them.
I'm the same way man and sometime have to go back in old videos to remember what I have and paid for, lol! 100% on the Flowing Hair, especially the Privy. It's like Vault box all over again.
Very interesting...I wonder, did you get involved in the recent Flowing Hair 230 year commemorative? Those are all certainly beautiful coins, but I never go in for the more modern coins or medals. Some of them can carry significant worth, many can be flipped for profits, but there are a number that never really take off. I have purchased a number of slabbed coins in the past, but it was only because my LCS picked them up for cheap, as they never attained the worth expected and were selling for a similar price to regular bullion. When that happens, I always end up popping them out of their slabs anyway. Sometimes I find that the slabs are loose and have already been opened by someone else. Glad you were able to pick up the Morgan & Peace dollar set. Let us know if you ever get any information on that "hole in the hat" issue. It looks like damage to me, but I'm sure people say that of a lot of legit error coins. Great video! Keep up the good work!
I did not go for the silver Flowing Hair metal. Believe it or not, considering going for the gold! Not sure I will yet or not, it will be an interesting release on the 14th, that's for sure! Coins for the US Mint either do very well or flat-line, it's weird. Of course the Flowing Hair is just a metal and not a coin which is a bit of a bummer and why I stayed clear. I would love it if that 2021 CC privy was an actual error but who knows. Perhaps I should send it into CAC for an opinion. Great to see you sir, thank you for commenting!
Funny that the majority of mint errors and carelessness on circulating coins come from Philadelphia. Yet, the commemoratives from Denver suck 🤣 Excellent presentation, as usual from you 👊 I’m in the hole a bit on my Morgan and Peace coins. Went for the CACG coins and took a hit 🤦♂️
You have a awesome collection I would like to get the 2021 peace dollar my dad has the original 1921 and I would like to give it to him for a gift. It's a win for him and me because me and my brother will get them oneday 😅😂😊
I'm still collecting these...of course I feel I have to because I have first year of issue just like you. I have never shown the 2023 and the 2024's so far, little point to it. The 2023 RP set is still in the unopened box, lol! The 2024 looks like they are not doing super well in the secondary, so you have plenty of time to pick them up.
Awesome collection!! I have all of the 2021 releases, and I can't wait to get rid of them! The US Mint is such a horrible operation that I will never buy from them again.
Many share your point of view- between the trouble ordering through the US Mint website and then the bad quality control the Mint lost a lot of customers. So far, I have only continued with the Morgan/Peace series and nothing else from the Mint this year.
I passed on the Morgan's because they weren't being made in 90 % silver. I did buy the Reverse Proof Eagles. They were my last purchases from the US Mint.
A lot of collectors felt like the Morgan-Peace dollar should have been 90%. The RP ASE coins are beautiful. I haven't purchased an ASE since 2021 myself! I stopped picking up the proofs or business strikes altogether
Im very dissapointed in the value of the 2021 reverse proof set. I really thought the prices would be at least double of what they actually are on ebay. Its a beautiful set. Just goes to show, that you never know what price modern coins will bring.
I did get the whole 2021 morgan and peace dollar privy set. I have an extra 2021 peace dollar too. I actually like the coins, and I'm pleased to hear they have appreciated in value. They are all still in the raw kept in the boxes. I haven't continued the ongoing collection the mint drops every year as I was pretty disappointed to hear they Mint even wanted to keep producing them as I hoped they would be a one and done thing to celebrate these coins anniversary. Clearly that was not the case but, I figured if they did keep producing them, I would do ok with the first ones issued in this collection and I was right as the first and last are always the best.
Great comment, thank you! Yes- the Mint should have left this set as a one time release to celebrate the Morgan/Peace dollars. I continued with the set for a couple reasons- mostly because I already had "first year of issue" collected. Hopefully the Mint stops the series for 2025.
I’d be more than happy to take a few of the 70’s off of your hands if the price is right. I don’t know if I’ve ever done any business with you but I’m a reputable viewer of you tube and have participated in a few of the auctions rather well. If there’s any other info that you would like please feel free to reach out to me.
Thank you very much for the offer! Not ready to sell just yet, I tend to hoard my coins- it's a problem sometimes, lol! I've had great luck doing business in this silver community, nice people here.
Kinda wish I bought the Morgan’s & peace dollars in 2021! If you interested in selling one I’ll be reversed proof silver eagle sets let me know! Thanks for sharing
Modern coins like the ASE and/or these Morgans are ALL going to grade as 69 or 70 with the technology of today. What's the fun of that?? The fun is getting a 19 or early 20th century coin that comes back as a 63, 64, 65! Just my opinion
Right on DA, these are not duplicates of the original- wrong weight, fineness and luster. I consider these commemorative coins. Not much from the US mint has interested me lately. I do like the that mint is starting to use privy ASE's, that makes things a little more fun, imo....but still overpriced!
@@SilverStruck three years ago the mint should’ve made a couple hundred thousand, actual, clad, ‘silver’ dollars using the Morgan and Peace designs. Then we’d all have unopened bank rolls in our collections.
CC and O privies are over valued. They are still Philadelphia mint. Total mintage from Philly is not 175k but really 525K. Denver and SF have the real low mintage.
Well yes, the privy coins where struck at the Philadelphia Mint. To roll the privy's into the total mintage isn't the same though as they are different coins by way of Privy mark itself. Same thing the Mint is doing now with the privy ASE and Flowing Hair, imo.
@@SilverStruck Privy marks are just design. It does not affect where it was minted. Technically it is Philadelphia minted with CC privy mark and Philadelphia minted with the O privy mark. Both still have 175k each minted. The reason the value is higher is all in perception. Again each design have the same mintage but the difference is that the total mintage by mint is different. I bought the D and S because they have the real low mintage and betting this will go higher in the future due to rarity after everyone finally realize that the CC and O are still Philly mint.
I don't buy from the US Giftshop...I mean Mint. If they had minted the Morgan and Peace in 90% at a reasonable price...I MAY have thought about it.... Maybe Probably not.

I'm the same way man and sometime have to go back in old videos to remember what I have and paid for, lol! 100% on the Flowing Hair, especially the Privy. It's like Vault box all over again.
Did not pick up the Morgan/Peace set. Per protocol, I'm always a day late and a dollar short. 😂
Not everyone was interested in this set at the time. I passed on the flowing hair metal for 2024 but went for the Morgans😊
VERY NICE
Good to see you James!
@@SilverStruck YOU MAKE GOOD VIDS SUBSTANTIVE IMO
A price multiplied by 3 in 3 years, it was a good investment.
Just lucky- most coin I buy from the US mint flop, lol!! Nice to see a good increase!
It never occurred to me to send these to CAC! Pretty bold move CSAN but I like it. Nothing wrong with trying that as CAC is well respected.
You have a awesome collection I would like to get the 2021 peace dollar my dad has the original 1921 and I would like to give it to him for a gift. It's a win for him and me because me and my brother will get them oneday 😅😂😊
That 1921 Peace is big money in MS these days. What a great gift that would be to add the 2021 to your fathers set!
I have 2 full sets. Bought every year since. Except this year… but I am kind of regretting it. Might actually get some.. not sure yet
@@SilverStruck 2024 are still available on the mint website. So they definitely aren’t doing well on the secondary market.
This video was calling my name lol
Thank you for checking this one out SW! I think you do a great job on the US Mint videos, I watch as many as I can😊
Awesome collection!!
@@SilverStruck I need to research what my 2021s are worth. I think have 4 of each.
@@WorldMoneyWins At worst case you can get your money back but on certain coins you can do very well.
Right on! A lot of us thought the 2021 reverse proof set would be a big deal, disappointing for sure.
Hey J Parker! Sure, I can dig out my other RP ASE sets from storage if you want one. Just let me know and I can send one to you for a good price.
I never got into any of those from the mint
From the comment section, I'd say a good amount of collectors did not go for these coins. Did you get the RP ASE's?
Nope never got them but did pick up a ngc 2021 cc in ms 70 👍👊
That's the best one of the bunch to have!
Modern coins like the ASE and/or these Morgans are ALL going to grade as 69 or 70 with the technology of today. What's the fun of that?? The fun is getting a 19 or early 20th century coin that comes back as a 63, 64, 65! Just my opinion
Your not wrong! The older original coins are more fun to collect. So far this is the only modern series from the US Mint that I'm collecting.
I do have the 5 Morgans all raw
Both the raw and the graded version have good upside for the 2021's.
First!!!
Hey, hey! Good to see you sir😊
Both 3 seta sent to ngc all came back ms 70
That's a win, well done, I'm glad you got all 70's!
They don’t look right without cartwheel luster.
Neither do the ones from this year.
I only bought in 2021. D & S with the Morgans and the Peace. No interest in them after 2021.
I hear you PCI! I felt compelled to keep going, so I have all the 2023's and collecting the 2024's. Have not bothered with videos on the subject tho.
Sold 6 21-D MS69 NGC at a show for $135 each seemed like a good deal. I was lucky to pick up 10 from each privy. The other 4 Ds came back MS70
Glad you got some MS70 Denver's! I'm still holding onto my one raw one for now but might try my luck in the future.
Maybe
Probably not.
Your not alone in your thoughts good sir! Thank you for watching and commenting, you know I appreciate it 😊👍
