I’d snuck into a mod sun/ palaye royale show in dallas, just to give mod my harley davidson biker jacket right off my back. Waited around in the back till I saw him & made my move. Hands down the most genuine down to earth dude i’d ever had the good fortune of meeting. Told him about how i’d just picked up the guitar a year & a half ago. He talked to me for a good 30 minutes giving words of encouragement, even delayed an encore just to keep talking to me. Dude accepted my gift, psyched anyone would even want to give him something for free w/ no strings attached. i’ll take that day to the grave

He’s truly an inspiration, I’ve watched his documentary “remember me just like this” at least 20 times. His new album is phenomenal, my favorite song right now is “drive”. Just wanted to say I've listened to modsuns new album on repeat but the 2 songs that have me crying Everytime cuz I relate to them so much are drive and the last song on the album god I just listened to it and already forgot the name of it that's the only thing I hate about getting old is forgetting shit all the time. I wish I could meet mod cuz he seems like one of the only celebrities that wouldn't judge me for how I look. "The secret", or I would say reality creating, is real, yet just like a great deal of other concepts regarding the use of one's mind it has been misrepresented and mis taught as being something other than it actually is. Mind set and setting always matters.
You learn to love the downs and all of a sudden everythings an up. That's some wild David Goggins shit right there. As an aside, there's quite a lot that's technically true about that. The main source of positive emotion, neurochemically, is dopamine...which is released when we recognise that we are moving toward a goal (we get dopamine from achieving goals too but then there is a refractory period because the readily releasable pool of dopamine is depleted and you need to take a minute to reset before moving on to another goal). Anyway, if you can cognitively reframe your assessment of negative feedback as helpful information that you can integrate and use to help move towards a goal...this will release dopamine. So, yeah. Sounds right.

Jack Black (the GOAT) just recently followed him. One friend of mine had a sort of jealousy on behalf of me because he wished that it was me who could have that follow from Jack. But as I shared with him that in my eyes it not only made me extremely happy for my friend that he was getting more success. But also gave me a good indicator that, just because my friend is finding his own path to success, that doesn’t take any possibilities away to reach that in my own way either. Tough work, with repetition to build a reputable status is needed. But maybe that luck sits somewhere in the corner, waiting to latch itself to those who are ready. Plus.
