We even talk about "Arabic numerals" whereas in fact they took their numbering system from the Hindus in India. The Arabs still have not developed a symbol for zero! They just use a dot.
Whenever Muslims bring this up, I always make the distinction that at best, they can claim to have created a font-style for a numerical set of symbols. They did not create the system, they copied it.
What's wrong with using a dot as a symbol for zero? By the way, here in Arabia we call the numbers we use Indian numbers, only in the west they are called Arabic numerals, lol it's not our fault you claimed the numbers to us?
@@yuzan3607 I think it is wrong too, saying it is the fault of Arabic people that it is called Arabic Numerals. You adopted it from India, we adopted it from your writings, the people who named them so in European literature, came in to contact with them from Arabic writings on math, so that was the name it was given. The issue is more that Muslims in Europe are now using it falsely, as a statement about how the Islamic Golden Age is what created the number system, as a means to sell Islam as a highly scientifically minded religion, when that is based on their need to dress Islam up as something it is not.
It made absolutely no sense to me that a religion which is anti science and anti progress back then made such a contribution to science and in the modern world basically somehow got tired of it. Islam made no contribution at all.
Infact one of the first words in quran told to the prophet was "iqrae bismi rabika ladi khalaq" which means learn and study. So saying that islam is anti science and learning is just pure bs with no background
@@grizius4123 Learn and study =/= doing science. Furthermore, I'm getting a bit tired of muslim apologists taking a quote and ripping it out of context.
@@ZTRCTGuy Wrong. Islam the religion itself has NEVER been anti science. This is something peddled by many muslims of the modern era who are uneducated on their own religion. One thing that would be helpful is not to confuse islam with crazy middle aged arab men who think they're good muslims telling everyone that science is the work of the devil. This is not islam. I am an ex-Muslim. Therefore I am an apostate and my life would be forfeit if I wrote this under my real name. Islam is not a religion of peace, and it is not an ideology that embraces science. Even in the west it is understood that Galileo and Newton did not make their brilliant discoveries based on their understanding of Christianity. There is no such thing as Christian physics, just as there is no such thing as Islamic algebra. The great minds of history had to struggle against religious dogma in order to enlighten the world. Kepler wanted to prove that we live in a world governed by perfect spheres and heavenly circles, but the data of his observations didn’t match Church dogma. All of the classical thinkers who happened to be Muslim were the beneficiaries of Greek and Persian science and philosophy, and were all labeled infidels at one point or another. Mehdi Hasan does what all Islamists do; he revises history to put Islam in a positive light.
Thank you for your courage. It is indeed dangerous to be an apostate. We need Islam to be debunked by muslims themselves , that is the only way.

Exactly, and I wouldn't be that the surprised either if these people weren't that religious or weren't even religious at all to begin with, because we all know what happens if persons were to announce their disbeliefs.
"This religion is barbaric" ah yes, this religion is barbaric. It allows women to hold their own property, divorce their husbands, and enforces a strict legal code. For the next 1000 years, Islam was far more lenient than Christianity. Even in the days of the prophet women were employing their husbands and were given education. But unfortunately, due to a couple of Eastern European children we have to call it "barbaric".
If Islam was so advanced as some claim how did it not advance for over 1000 years and was overtaken completely by the west , how come Islam did not invent TV Radio Planes trains engineering feats medical advances telecommunications etc, somehow Islam never got around to discovering these
because the islamic world went to shit? crusades, mongol invasions, turkic invasions, and later on colonialism. This is like shooting a dog 8 times and then wondering why It stopped moving. You can see the same things happening in Eastern europe with Russia. The Russian tsars stomped on democracies like Novgorod, and became an absolute monarch leaving Russia in the 1200s for centuries to go. This is just blatant islamaphobia.
Do Muslim Science apologists not realize that scientific progress doesn't rely on one particular individual at each step? Numerous people study the same fields (not just today), and at some point one of them will come upon a discovery. If Einstein had died in his teens, would scientists never ever have discovered relativity? :))
thats not the point. Muslim sicence apologists focus on these individuals because they did acheive something regardless of if someone was going to do so anyway. Thats as stupid as saying we shouldn't give two shits about who invented the light bulb or who put who on the moon or who developed algorithms for computers because it doesnt matter, someone else was bound to discover it sooner or later. Sounds a bit silly mate. Rethink your comment.
Good point. I think it is probably a vast body of collective work out of which 'some' contributing individuals are a bit more outstanding than others. There are probably a lot of individuals being underrated, while others are overrated and everything in between. It is probably an endless debate that will never end. It is just that the Europeans during the Enlightenment put the entire scientific advancement process on steroids as a consequence of the competition between the nation-states/empires, which also led to very fast advances in military technology.
@@paulnielsen8784 Nobody is denying European achievments. Its simply insulting that when people acknowledge and appreciate European advancements as well as Islamic ones they are deemed misinformed since the "Muhamatans" were influenced by someone which is irrelevant because everyone was influenced regardless of how much they relied on that influence to spark turning points or advancements. I agree that some people relied less on influence than others and may have contributed less or more than the founders of past knowledge but all of that is irrelevant. Its human nature to communicate our ideas and defining which achievments deserve acknowledgement and appreciation based on the situation of influence is totally impractical and we should applaud and appreciate every human for all they've contributed regardless of who influenced them and how. And that's a bit arrogant.
@@paulnielsen8784 *"the Europeans during the Enlightenment put the entire scientific advancement process on steroids"* Precisely. ''Islamic golden age'' was just an echo of Greek/Roman and Persian civilizations, that's why islamic world didn't even come close to repeating anything like it for the last 1000 years.
@KHABIB ** TIME Only thing they did is that 'Muslim scholars preserved and enhanced the learning of ancient Greece' And then Western civilization enhance it 10 times more. While muslim world did nothing. So all this ''European culture owes an immense and immeasurable debt to the world of Islam'' is the biggest exaggeration and islam pandering I ever read. Western Europe lost many classic Greek and Roman texts due to wars in Migration Period. While islam conquer the richest parts of Roman Empire and with that all the knowledge with it. Then all this conquered people, many of them were eastern christians, translated all that texts to arabic. When Western Europe got to their feet together after all that devastation of Migration Period, it quickly start to collect lost knowledge (with some help of ''islam'') and what more, it start to upgrade with a fast pace. I did a white paper in university days about Arab medicine. The following findings I recall: 1) 99% of the most fameous Arab medical scientists was merely applying Roman medical traditions (Galen - 4 body humours). 2) From 650 to 1650 AD there was only one original chirurgical innovation by Arabs - the operation of eye cataracts - it was only practiced in Egypt by one fameous doctor and forgotten afterwards. 3) Most "Arab scientists" weren't Muslims but (formally converted)Jews. That is also why "Golden Age" stuff of islam only happened in Egypt, Andaluz (Spain) and Isfahan (Persia) where large Jewish-Christian minorities lived. 4) There were no universities ever and the science greats of the Golden Age were singular aberrations, a few in the 10th to 13th century, nothing after 1256 (fall of Bagdad to Mongols) 6) the only tangible role of the Arabs was preserving a solid amount of Greco-Roman writings via translations by Jews into Arabic that would be translated a few hundred years later back into Latin by other Jews. Not sure how highI would rank that achievement consider it was the Muslims who destroyed the Romano-greek and Persian empires in the first place.
Most of what you mention involving the applying of roman traditions was ALSO being done in europe at the time. Europe hadpretty much 0 medical innovations up until the 1800s with ideas such as germ theory, spontaneous generation and advancements involving immunisation. The only pre-enlightenment medical innovations and advancements made by the europeans then was ideas such as basic hygiene and theories that were complete regurgitations of much older already known roman ideas. Mind you basic hygiene was a thing in arabia for quite some time too ;) The only difference is, whilst both were applying roman traditions, the Arabs were the ones who were actually researching and developing different perspectives when it came to medicine. The europeans sat with the 4 humours and the Theory of Opposites for about 900 years until they decided they should do something. Research it yourself, Im not bullshitting you

@@cloroxbleach9237you seem to misunderstand how universities are defined in academic circles. Example: It is true that Timbuktu for hundreds of years was a place of scholarship and the foremost chronicles regarding the history of West African kingdoms. However, just like Rome never developed universities in the sense of modern "college traditions", that tradition is traceable to Athenean philosophical academies with the first post-Greek examples popping up for philosophy, law, theology and medicine in Italy (Salerno, Bologna, Salamanca) in the 13th century. There is no university in the Islamic world that can trace its lineage directly back to the places you mention. There are quite a few universities in Spain, France, Italy and even England who have been universities in name and practice without interruption for 600 to 800 years. So even if we would agree these centers of yours had universities and not just a scholarly community it is undisputable that the "scientific traditions" in the Islamic world were too weak to allow a consistent development and expansion of collective and collaborative scientific knowledge management on the basis of full-time academics teaching classes of students. Thanks for debunking the Myth of the "Golden Age of Islam". My question to Muslims: if Islam contribute such a great deal to the mankind, why doesn't it continue to contribute to the humankind's development since the Renaissance and the first industrial revolution?"
Great video, its time to challenge these claim made by Islamists. They lie through their teeth to peddle Islam, because this is about power to them, not about truth.
If the gentleman were correct, then there must have been hundreds of other Muslim scholars inspired by them, and their ideas must have been taken up by society in general. If not, and we know the answer to that, all we have is a few isolated scholars being ignored by everyone else- even if they were all devout Muslims and accepted as such. To put it more simply, if these were the founders of the renaissance how come the renaissance happened in Christian Italy?
Probably because the entire world was coming out of all ‘Dark Age’ and into an ‘Age of Enlightenment’, you just only study European history. It was happening everywhere. Do some research my dude.
Plagiarised how? Because the same people who criticise Islam are likely Christians and Jews and so if the Quran is plagiarised, Christianity and Judaism are both as deserving of the same if not more ciriticism than Islam because these are the only two religions that you're probably implying the Quran had plagiarised off of.
@@cloroxbleach9237 ''Plagiarised how?'' Islamic stories and accounts (complete with the exact claims and errors) the original sources made are known, some of the Islamic stories literally cut, copy, pasted these accounts. It's embarrassing how bad this plagiarism is, I guess the many scholars are afraid of losing relevance so continue to perpetuate propaganda and trying to cover tracks for Islam. Islam plagiarized multiple sources, Zoroastrian, Christian, Gnostic Jewish, Arab folk tales Ancient Mariners accounts, Greek observations. The flying donkey (Burag) sourced 3000 years earlier under Zoroastrianism. The Apocryphal stories known by Jewish Rabi & Christian scholars to be later forgeries that islam copied, such as the Jewish folktale Adam was 60 cubits or almost 30 meters high, the tallest man died age 22 last century, he suffered from circulatory problems because the human heart struggles to pump blood in people that are exceptionally tall (over 2.5 meters), research giantism and the many health conditions it brings, and all this in people well under 3 meters high; at 30 meters a human skeleton could not even stand due to the earth's gravity, their lungs would be crushed. Muhammad was from a Hindu sect originally in his infancy, Hindus for centuries recite long oral traditions for hours at a time, they circumambulate around their holy shrines like the Muhammadan do with Kaaba. There are hundreds / thousands of websites, videos and individuals who have debunked all of the endless fallacies and claims of the Quran and the attendant books. Claim the Bible 'corrupted' did not appear until 4 centuries of Islam had elapsed, by a frustrated Islamic scholar, the founder had claimed Torah & Injeel as foundation and light, he genuinely believed it was a firm revelation but he desired to be the ultimate abrogation to all that had gone before (or so the stories go), but The Arab who studied under the Greek Galen and brought back the embryological claims the Quran makes replete with exactly the same short comings Galen made.
And if most people bothered to do the research, they would find out that most of the mathematical breakthroughs, and for that matter, mathematics in general...most..if not all knowledge that the Arabs, Persians, and Muslims came from India. India taught all of them mathematics.
The Encyclopedia Brittanica says that the library had in fact been destroyed long before the advent of Islam - in the fourth century AD. Phillip K. Hitti,

@@cloroxbleach9237 I think the claim is only regarding Al-Khwarizmi's inventions, especially on numerals when his book on it was literally called "On the Calculation with Hindu Numerals" (translated to latin as Algoritmi de numero Indorum) and that his algebra might have been inspired by works of Brahmagupta and Diophantus. Don't believe them, but you can always do a personal enquiry to know if it's a true claim or not, without disregarding it right? I do the same with the other view points. Nothing can be trusted on the internet, so better enquire yourself and find if the other person is wrong instead of outrightly dismissing something just because they are associated with labels that are not considered politically correct in current socia climate. After watching Paul Nielsen's videos for instance, I go online to make sure if he's saying the truth, I'll trust his narrative after I fact check some claims myself. Many of the same "Muslim" scientists that modern Muslims are so proud of and site their contributions as proof for their dogma's rightfulness were not actually Muslims. Some of them were even atheists and criticized not only Islam but all religions openly. Rhazes and Khayyam being the famous ones. I would argue, as an atheist, that the religion of Islam was in fact one of the main factors in the occurrence of the "Golden Age." Had those Arabs not been united under the banner of Islam by their prophet, they wouldn't and couldn't set out to create the largest empire the world had seen up to that point. Without those conquests happening, all those different peoples wouldn't have a common tongue to communicate in. The Moors from North Africa, for example, wouldn't be as interested in reading the writings of some guy in a faraway land called Persia, written in an unknown language. Islam also gave all those different peoples a single identity, which helped a lot. Knowledge wouldn't travel nearly as swiftly and efficiently as it did under the caliphates, either. Those fanatic desert-dwelling Arabs did cause the Golden Age, even if unintentionally.
Not sure the peoples they conquered were that much interested in yet another imperial incorporation after they sorted themselves out of the Roman Empire.

Western Europe lost many classic Greek and Roman texts due to wars in Migration Period. While islam conquer the richest parts of Roman Empire and with that all the knowledge with it. The reason the "islamic world" (or the places that western powers obsess over occupying and pouring millions of dollars into military funding over in order to bomb the shit out of then destroying crucial infrastructure, homes, markets and places of education) won't come close to repeating anything is pretty obvious if you do a little research on the history of the middle east throughout the past century.

Even Russian who lost almost 30 million people and much of the country was destroyed in WW2, then 20 years after that they send a human into a space. Meanwhile middle east has couple of wars in the last 100 years and that's why whole islamic world can't discover nothing in the last 1000 years. Your logic is unbelievable.
Activists, separatists, extremists and finally terrorists, that’s Islamic history.
Burning widow, developing caste system, killing people for eating beef, that's Hindu and Indian history.
Colonialism, genocide of natives. Burning heretics and witches is Christian history

I don't like disrespecting religions, but I think I lean this way, after seeing how 2 women's intelligence is equal to 1 man's, and how these days radical islamists also want to destroy history and any tech they don't understand, wanting to stay primitive and revert to olden more traditional living, I think traditional living can be great for some people, but burning books and destroying architecture in turn erasing important history is despicable by any means, if the ancients beliefs were wrong it should be established through education not eradication, it's just dumb to press delete on what came before, would I delete all watches and restart a new watch design from scratch? Hell no! Just like George Daniels did, he learnt about cutting edge watch tech and redeveloped the mechanical escapement to be more efficient then the digital watches of the time, which is an EXTRAORDINARY feat of engineering! A mechanical watch made out of 100% metal more accurate then a digital quartz watch in the 70s- early 80s!!!!!! Mind blowing! And he did it through education and engineering, if he eradicated the original watch designs from his bran he would NEVER have been able to come up with such an efficient escapement within his lifetime!
This example just plainly shows how ignorant, backwards and damaging destroying what came before can be and how useful and helpful previous iterations of knowledge and technology can be for making life easier and more efficient..
@Danny Timms well majority of religions bring alot of civility and peace to people's lives, at the same time extremists should be rejected, so people should be analyzed and criticized not the religions themselves..

Blame human nature, not a set of beliefs and morals used to keep civilisations civil, stable and community orientated which is what's needed for healthy numbers to increase and overall happiness, wellbeing and solid structure thruought the communities that are expanding, religions have been an excellent tool for that, when empires get obsessed with gender and social science rejecting moralistic religions, is when empires crumble, I'm sure you've seen the reasons why the major empires failed in the past, mainly a direct consequence of the previously mentioned factors .. scary as fuck!

Maybe the books you read are a couple paragraphs..

@Danny Timms You can criticise a religion all you want in order to prove it doesn't deserve respect but when the basis of your whole argument is the actions of the followers, You've already lost the argument and you've no justifications for any disrespect.
What I struggle to understand is despite all you people hating Islam, you rarely criticise it. You're always focusing on the actions of the followers as if it has any relevance to the nature of islam in its true form.
Criticise the fucking religion then maybe you can prove to anyone whose sane that it doesn't deserve respect. If all you're going to talk about is ISIS and the trans-saharan slave trade then I guess every religion in existence also doesn't deserve respect.
@Danny Timms Thanks for the insightful and useful reply there, I've learned alot.
4) There were no universities ever and the science greats of the Golden Age were singular aberrations, a few in the 10th to 13th century, nothing after 1256 (fall of Bagdad to Mongols)
6) the only tangible role of the Arabs was preserving a solid amount of Greco-Roman writings via translations by Jews into Arabic that would be translated a few hundred years later back into Latin by other Jews.
Mind you basic hygiene was a thing in arabia for quite some time too ;)
The only difference is, whilst both were applying roman traditions, the Arabs were the ones who were actually researching and developing different perspectives when it came to medicine. The europeans sat with the 4 humours and the Theory of Opposites for about 900 years until they decided they should do something. Research it yourself, Im not bullshitting you
"No universities ever". Somebody didnt do his homework lmao. Some of the earliest universities were created by muslims. Timbuktu, The university of Al-Qarawiyyin, The many smaller universities established by the Mali Empire, The entirity of the Ottoman empire had also quite a few universities. This is off the top of my head but it already shows how little you know about Islamic history.
I know when you mentioned this you referenced arabs and I have included non arab examples, but lets be honest, you're not trying to criticise Arabs, you're going for Islam so I have mentioned muslims who have created universities during the Islamic Golden Age.
Already Martin Luther went to a university and had classes, but none of the Muslim great minds in the 15th or 16th century did.
@@cloroxbleach9237 by 1650 the Ottoman sultans regularly consulted and by 1700 regularly employed as personal physicians European doctors. That yardstick strongly suggests the Europeans had significantly bypassed Islamic medicine by that point. Galen wasn't a thing in Western medicine after 1550. By then the scientific method of documented experimentation and the principle of deriving medical knowledge from exhuming human corpses followed by teaching these findings broadly to college attendees gained broad and soon general acceptance in universities in Western Europe. This is one reason why the "enlightenment" period fully bypassed the Ottoman empire wnd all orher Islamic states .... Another was that islamic, scholars after 1400 suffered much more suppression from Muslim clerics than their European counterparts and took centuries longer than the Europeans and Americans to adapt the Gutenberg printing press which greatly sped dissemination of ideas. The most idiotic thing is that Mehadi is of Indian origine, most probably a Hindu converted to Islam but look how is singing songs for Izlam. This shows how inferiority complex he has.
One prominent historian who discusses the influence of the Quran on scientific achievements is Ibn Khaldun. In his work, he emphasizes the role of Islamic teachings and the Quran in fostering a culture of inquiry and knowledge during the Golden Age of Islam.
This pro-Islam perspective on science and history was even being taught when I was at school in the 2000’s and at uni in the 2010’s. But of course it’s complete nonsense! Very concise video pointing out how Islam has not helped science or civilization at all. Another good example is the basket case of Somalia - where are all the scholars and scientists hailing from there? Keep up the good work!
He Nielsen. I really miss your insight in these topics. When would you make a new video?

Great video! I remember reading that, in the glory days of the old Soviet Union, the USSR was also credited with inventions it wasn't really responsible for.
I'm always thinking can't we just change the Qur'an to be more friendly to Western civilization and science and teach Muslims that version. Having a version of Islam that is updated could do wonders for the Muslims here.
Problem is that the Quran is believed to be the direct word of god and that anyone who tries to change it is an apostate who should be killed. That is why Islam is so rigid.
quran be changes?,brother look what happened to the bible. There are so many versions of it until it lost its meaning. The christians even disrespect their own jesus. The problem we muslims are having because of politics and some are just too extremists.
What wonders?.All those techs and new knowledges discovered by those europeans have causes many implications to our earth. The introduction of steams alone even caused climate change and the discoveries of atom which bring destruction to our extinction. The europeans have bring more harm than good.Even our fiat money.A paper money system with no value!

India was the most powerful and advanced civilization during the Middle Ages. I respect that.
The early caliphs were influenced by Roman, Greek and Persian rulers who were open, then the influenced died when religious zealots within Islam became more resilient.

One day, a priest is walking down the street and sees a little girl with a box. “What’s in the box?”, the priest asks. “Christian kittens”, the little girl answers. Pleased, the priest smiles and continues on his way. A week later, the same priest is walking down the street with a nun when he sees the little girl and the box again. “Ask her what she has in the box”, he says, “It’s the cutest thing!” The nun walks up and asks the girl what she has in the box. “Atheist kittens”, she says. The priest rushes forward and says "ATHEIST KITTENS!!! Last week you said they were “Christian kittens!!!” “They were”, she says. “Now their eyes are open”.

… very eloquent, well argued and demonstrated documentation, not least the apt description of ‘… pationate delivery….” and “… young Western Europeans impressed by marginalized group standing up for themselves…’ in the introduction to show what they capitalize on to proof their point.
Well more "europeans" need to stand up for Ukriane, for Tibet, oppressed people in China and all the oppressed people in Islamic countries. Even the Feminists are silent about the oppression of women by leftist groups and Muslims and all their other darlings. They are too stupid to realize that under sharia the postmodern and feminatzis and all those will be stoned to death first
Somehow I ask myself why the "Golden Age" did not lasted, I guess because the Islam became more radical, but I am not sure.

Thanks for this video ! We need facts with research ! Amazing
Brilliant work and well researched . Thank you for doing this and I hope more people watch this , so they can confidently dismantle the misinformation spouted by Mehdi and his likes . I wish all the religions and ethnic groups would be prosperous and contribute to a better world . However ,the dishonesty by people like Mehdi and Reza Aslan needs to be checked .
@@MatthewVanston Not sure why you would think that, and not sure what that has to do with what I wrote :)

Lay out the claims. Then debunk them with historical background, timeline, and facts, all in under 20 minutes. Against the tide of modern so-called scholars and historians repeatedly pushing a tired old but apparently popular golden narrative. Unsurprisingly, this video has less than 25K views. Quite a world we live in.
Saying "Golden Age of Islam" is like saying the Crusade never happened.
Very important video. How can a group with low coqqnitive functions be leading in sience, art and philosophy? Ranking contemporary nations by IK has Malaysia in the best Islamic country's position on range 40 (62% muslims, rest intelligent chinese, christians and others).
so following a religion affects your cognitive function🤣
hey listen darling. You probably don't like being told about a time when the middle east wasn't just terrorism and war but it existed and thats history. This video is doing ALOT of discrediting and its kinda painful watching it lmao. Also to touch back on your comment. A religion is a set of beliefs about the world and how life should be lived. Your choice to what religion you adhere to has 0 correlation with your cognitive function. You're basically saying that if someone were to leave Islam their cognitive function would spontaneously spike up lmao. Sounds silly but who cares, I dont expect much from someone of such a "low cognitive function".
@@cloroxbleach9237 You are speaking so many facts right now
Actually it’s more of race than religion, most people in Southeast Asia aren’t really into science and stuff like that, we’re more of seafarers, farmers, fishermen, chefs, poets and many other. Also Chinese are known to be smart engineers and scientists, also did you say “Chinese” is a religion?
Neandertal commenting.
Mr. Nielsen, what do you think about the books of Michel Houellebecq regarding islam in France?
Probably a look into the future of France.
Islam changes everything it touches in a desert.
This was the talk I began to dislike that muslim guy. Years ago,, he was good at twisting and lying about things. Kinda like his religion it would seem.
I don't have enough time to discuss this entire video, but there's one thing I don't understand: on one hand, you say that minorities didn't have rights during the Islamic Caliphate, while on the other hand, you’re saying that these so-called helpless minorities also achieved a lot during the Islamic rule which they couldn't achieve while living in their own societies and which also benefited their societies that were submerged in the Dark Ages.
It's as fake as a black Anne Boleyn.
If he is correct, then the middle east would be very advance & developed by now. Lets see what happens when the world dont need their oil anymore.
Literally all of your arguments could be applied to any religion and any intellectual, it’s got nothing to do with Islam specifically
You are aware that the library of Alexandria had already been destroyed, wiping out much learning (probably with the help of and/or organized by Fundamentalist Christians), right?
It was probably destroyed in a political dispute, where the left-over Library became Collateral damage.
Yes Islamic rulers destroyed Nalanda library in India, and God knows what it had, maybe Science and Algebra.
You should really include sources in your videos in the future, it would make it a lot easier to understand where your claims come from & make them a lot more believable.
Very informative and analytical. People are realizing these facts slowly.
Al-khwarizmi formulated Algebra (Al Jabr) after studying ancient Indian books of Mathematics that were translated from Sanskrit. Algebra already existed in India by a different name Beej-Ganit.
