You'll get the usual people saying "it's the same every year", but Fifa 22 genuinely feels like a good step in the right direction. The best Fifa gameplay wise for a decade in my opinion.
Usually I get bored of career mode a few games in, but the CPU has some variety to it in how it approaches each game.
I agree mate. All these people saying it's the 'same game' are not playing through the one I am. I'm not saying it's a million times better. But definitely going in the right direction. 👍
I respect your opinion but have to disagree. I've played pretty much every football game since iss pro 98/fifa 99 and genuinely believe we're going through the worst years in terms of gameplay. The golden years were between Fifa 09 to pes 17. Seems like the games are getting worse and worse imo especially since DDA and f2p mechanics have crept in more obviously impacting on gameplay with input delay rubber banding, stat nerfs and overall slow and unresponsive gameplay. The hypermotion definitely adds some smoothness to animations but not the players inputs. However I do agree on the AI being more interesting/ creative this year which should keep offline players entertained throughout career modes 👍

Playing with thesliders definitely helps , mine are :
CPU First touch 65 will result in less ping pong passes from the AI in the box.
Player marking 55 , with this the defenders will always stay close to strikers and not leave big gap like in real football.

The gameplay is still laughably outrageous, how tf does it still play the same during snow? Rain? Ping pong passes moving like rockets across a wet pitch. Insane.
It’s still a arcade style football game though its adding some more sim style features which I like.
FUT would be awesome if you could actually tackle.

My first few Days it was playing like a dream, now I'm having trouble stopping attacks which always have them scoring. 10-0, & 7-6 defeats look ludicrous.
Many people say that gameplay is slower in fifa 22, what?! Whole video looked like It was on 2x speed.

I've been playing both PES and FIFA for years. This FIFA is more enjoyable for me. The passing mechanism isnt bad. The gameplay is the best In a FIFA series in my opinion. I normally play Pes more then FIFA. I'm waiting for PES this year. However I'm liking this FIFA son.

Ricky loved the live stream and the beginning of your create a club. My recommendation is to stream live whenever you have time to play. If you normally bash out matches after work, stream then. Then chop up and share the highlights would be fantastic. Really looking forward to growth of PES United!!

I'm a PES guy at heart but there's no way the new atrocity is getting my money this year. FIFA22 is leaps and bounds ahead of this years PES. PES players should put their pride and fanboyism aside this year, boycott Konami and get FIFA. It looks terrible and not fun to play at all. I don't know what Konami are playing at. Maybe they shouldn't of changed to the new engine? I predict atleast another 2 years until they come out with a real competitor to FIFA. They do the same every time the new era of consoles come out though. Takes them a few years to suss out the new hardware it seems. I think the common issue throughout the years though is Bhatti. Get rid of him! Employ better people. I honestly can't believe they've released that game in its current state. Whats worse... People will actually buy it and then pay for micro transactions as well 🙃
PES doesn't exist anymore. Plus Efootball is free to play right. So might be worth a download then make your mind up from there.

Pes 2020 + 2021 far better than any FIFA in recent years, what they have done with efootball is awful, it’s not Pes, but they will probably get it right in couple years, FIFA’s gameplay is woeful, game after game it’s shocking, presentation yea brilliant, but gameplay no longevity at all, becomes repetitive and each game plays the same as does the AI, Pes nailed it for gameplay and AI in Pes 5, amazing game and still enjoyable because of that, in fairness both FIFA and PES, or now efootball, suffer from the pull of the online gaming obsession which seems to dominate all
I agree with you I will not recommend efootball 2022 to anybody, but play fifa? No I will be sticking with the old pes 2021 hopefully Konami figures their shit out.

Oh teammate press is a much needed feature. FIFA removed it last year and it just enables scummy posession hoarding gameplay in online.
Also, have you tried passing to an opponent in the game? The assisted pass feature in last year made defending a nightmare.

Maybe but AI is just scripted to hell, Adam Armstrong is like Mbappe on Ultimate. You can't win the ball from the AI in that difficulty, and every player is a world beater. There also seem some shots keepers just cannot save so AI scores so many long shots.

With defending you just need to learn the new features such the player switching when pressing R3. Also, don’t over do it with sliders and sort out your custom controls.

get the game on PC and use mods when it comes out it will make the career modes more realistic and people who make it use real data when it comes to clubs, transfers, and whole lot more
Have they fixed the terrible midfielder marking from last year? Also have they changed the set piece system? These two things made fifa 21 unplayable for me personally.

Presentation = good. Gameplay = woeful. Player animations when running are poor and just look dumb sometimes. The 100mph 180 turns, drag backs and ball rolls are just so unrealistic and take away all immersion. Skating around the pitch.... No thanks - I tried the trial and played 4 games only didnt even manage to get to half time in 2 of them it was so bad, but for me, its better than 21 which was absolutely shocking, yet it is still lacking big time. I also thought now and again the players looked fat and squashed lol. Might have been the camera angle..

FIFA 22 is a decent game. It's a huge improvement on FIFA 21. Can we say the same about PES? Offline isn't great. I enjoy playing FIFA online. PES finding an online game is time consuming.

It’s funny cause i use to be FIFA team for so long then FIFA 21 whas just unplayable the midfielders the shooting everything about FIFA21 whas off so i switch to Pes and then felt some real football a very good game yeah of course the the part that you have to download the roster and kits and all the menu but the gameplay whas great.Now that this efootball thing came no more Pes we don’t know what’s gonna happen whit master league and all i came back to fifa plus they somewhat fix the midfielders but still i can’t find no fun yet whatever i do sliders and all danm i feel football gaming industry let us all down !!!

The graphics are very nice,the jersey's are beautiful,the shorts too,but the big problem with fifa is the gameplay. The gameplay unfortunately destroys everything they built. I know that Konami doesn't fix pes or efootball if you want in a way we want even if the gameplay isn't good enough, I can't go to FIFA. Fifa has the worst gameplay ever. Yes I know and you know some of the animations are good, almost touched the reality,but generally I hate it. I always hoped that Konami will fix the best gameplay bever and not EA Sports.
The intro with the ea sport, presentation,the menu and the graphics of the stadium, jersey boots, goalpost net and players is just so beautiful and unique but then the gameplay is terrible, I think the game is made for fortnite players . The football players all move like they are Greek gods the way they turn and dribble with the ball theres no physics been applied. They also tried copying pes with the new controls like tapping r2 for pace and controlling other players with the right stick
I think you're failing to be objective. Fifa is 12 minutes a half compared to real life which is 90 minutes of course it isn't going to be realistic.

Not like fifa that you can be facing the other way and the player will magically pass it

From the look on how they move it's not even close to pes 2015.
The teammate press should be IN the game, no doubt! Maybe no longer in the current form - teammate press should jokey your teammate after the player with the ball as long as you are pressing that teammate press button, but this should no longer make the challenges for you. It should only run up to the opposite player and keep up with their run... the AI positioning in defending will NEVER be up to what you as a player would want them to be.
True. Teammate press is necessary, the cpu can cheat and move your defenders to the wrong position. You get more control of your defenders with the teammate press
Every team plays the same style, every player moves the same and every pass looks the same. Not like real football

will never be able to get into FIFA when it’s still the same crap ice skate ball ping gameplay, if you have to muck around with sliders to make the game playable then it’s just a load of presentation and nothing more, the way it looks is exactly how it plays, flat, no longevity in gameplay, the ball physics are terrible like all FIFA titles
